I love this girl so much, she is such a love bug. She does have some excitement exiting her kennel, but this is mostly just energy levels being high. Once she is out, she is one of the easiest and calmest dogs to walk. She loves stopping for a cuddle and she really leans into you, showing how affectionate she is. Be warned, you may be attacked by that tongue if you get too close! Xena loves a kiss :) I always enjoy my walks with her, she really is an absolute ray of sunshine.

I had a lovely walk with xena the other day, her white coat is looking beautiful against all the autumnal colours. She’s such a character xena, and I just love walking her. She is strong and can be excitable when in the kennel/exiting but she settles into her walk so well and just plods along at a gentle pace. She has such a docile side to her on walks but also has a playful goofy side to her that comes out in the paddock or just around the RR grounds, she absolutely loves toys, she’s really just a big beautiful baby! She so deserves a loving home of her own, she has so much love to give!

We had a wonderful walk last week, once Xena is out of the kennels she settles beautifully. I always save her until last, because she is so calming and gentle, it ends the day well. She sits beautifully for treats and loves posing for the camera, as you can see below :)

It was getting quite dark so I chose Xena to take out 1. I hadn’t had the chance to walk her for a while and 2. She walks beautifully on the lead so I didn’t have to worry about being pulled about in the dark! She was actually easy to harness today too- such a good girl but she can get a bit excited and in turn a bit mouthy (no malice at all) we stood and talked to another walker for a while and she was patient enough, enjoying the scratches, jumped up a couple of times for attention but easily asked her to get her paws off! No pics unfortunately due to the darkness

What a beautiful girl Xena is, I love our walks together, she’s such a dream to walk. She is quite tricky to harness so I usually have to get someone else to come and help me, but it’s only pure excitement to go out and to have human interaction, ultimately she just wants to play when you try harness her. She just needs to learn how to regulate her excitement a bit, but once she’s out on a walk shes an absolute angel and doesn’t get excited at all.
I’m sure once she’s out of kennels and is settled in a home and has more outlets, she will be able to regulate her excitement a lot better. I really hope this beautiful girl gets a home soon, she so deserves someone who’s going to give her the life she needs, and in return they will get boundless amounts of love.

Met and walked Xena for the first time yesterday. She’s a gorgeous big girl who gets very excited when you enter her kennel. I think she knew I was the new girl so put up a bit of a fuss with getting her harness on. She play bites but not hard at all and doesn’t realise her own strength. The minute you get her outside she’s a completely different dog. So easy to walk, doesn’t pull and just a gorgeous girl happy to be outside. We met a couple of very yappy pugs which she ignored completely and a child wizzing along on a scooter - again wasn’t bothered at all. Takes it all in her Xena stride.

I love walking Xena, despite her size she rarely pulls and prefers having a good sniff. She walked well behind Zoey today who was walking rather slowly! She waited patiently whilst I had a chat with another walker and loves a good scratch!

I walked Xena for the first time on my own this week and she was very good. She’s a wriggling excited monkey when trying to harness but that stops as soon as she gets moving.

All she wants is attention and love
