Jessie's Story: Jessie was a wrong purchase by a family who didn't have the experience or time for her. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Jessie will be neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Jessie came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

I had the pleasure of walking the lovely Jessie today.
She is a sweetheart. No pulling on the lead and just happy for a little plod around the woods.
This girl loves being around people and wanted to greet everyone she met.
Loved a little treat and think she's had some basic training as she was happy to sit on command with a little reward.
She saw a few dogs on route and seemed very calm with just a big wagging tail. A real pleasure and I'm sure she will be a lovely family pet.

I met new girl Jessie for the first time today and what a good girl she is!
She walked beautifully with Freya and loved having a fuss made of her.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with her 🩷🩷

My first walk with Jessie today. She is absolutely gorgeous. Easy to harness and headed off into the village, calmly walking with Digby behind her. Very easy to walk and is always checking on you. Sits nicely for treats and is simply, just a lovely dog. Stunning colour and beautiful eyes. Can’t wait to walk her again ♥️♥️

Why oh why is this lovely dog not homed yet. She’s stolen my ❤️. Jessie is so welcoming when you enter her kennel and easy to harness up. Excited to get out and explore. Lovely to walk and listens well too. Jessie walked really well with Poirot today and no issues at all. love4.gif

Jessie is a dream! She’s so beautiful and easy to walk. She’s not fussed by anything and is so friendly with people and dogs. She’s great on group walks and individual walks. This girl would be the best addition to any home 🏠

I took Jessie for a walk today in the frosty woods and along the bridal path.

A beautiful calm girl to plod through our frosty surroundings at a good pace at times but also happy to stop for a few sniffs.

We met a person or two on route and Jessie is clearly a friendly sole who loves people. She is keen to greet people with a waggy tail and enthusiasm and it’s hard for anyone to resist this beautiful face!

Jessie is good at checking in with her walking while out, which is lovely. She is also responsive to commands if she thinks it will earn her a treat.

Jessie is a quiet and friendly character. She was not put off by the cold conditions and managed a long walk through the countryside with ease.

I don’t imaging this lovely girl will be with us long, she will be a delightful addition to a lucky someone home. I’ll definitely be trying to book in for another walk with her soon.

Jessie, why are you still here. You should be in a loving home, enjoying the fuss, you so deserve.
I was greeted with lots of excitement today and she looked gorgeous in her green hoodie. She was very good at letting me getting it off and getting on with a good walk. She walks so well and really enjoys a good sniff and meeting people along the way. Very easy on the lead and is always looking round at you for reassurance. We had a few goes at trying to get her hoodie back on and she was loosing patience with me at one stage as I was laughing too much. Success and a few treats later, she was warm again. Love her love4.gif

Lovely Jessie came to stay with us for a couple of days break. We picked her up in the evening, and you have to watch out as she has the potential to be a bit of a door dasher. As I opened the door slowly, her inquisitive nose popped out, and she was pleased to see she was going on a trip. She was fairly easy to harness, bearing in mind she was very excited.

Jessie travelled well in the car and enjoyed putting her head out of the window to take in the passing views and smells. Once we got home she jumped out and took the opportunity to explore every area. She is very bouncy and has lots of puppy like energy, she jumped up to say hello a couple of time and was eager to meet everyone.

For the first day she was a little unsettled and didn't really sit down. She wanted to follow everyone around, whined if anyone left the room and jumped up at the counters to get food. Whilst we only had her with us for a couple of days, by the next day after a few good long walks, a nice comfortable sofa and the opportunity to meet some people she had calmed down a lot, so I think she would be fine with a bit of time to let her settle in.

Out on walks she generally walks on a slack lead, although can be strong if she spots something of interest. She meets other dogs well and likes to have a sniff and a play but it is all good natured.

She needs to learn a few manners around food 0002.gif] If you are eating something on the sofa and she notices she will climb all over you to try and get some, so it is a work in progress, but she does know some basic commands and will sit for a treat. She is house trained and will let you know when she wants to go out.

Understandably, Jessie was reluctant to go back in her kennel and it took a couple of goes to get her to stay there 😢so she really would benefit from some more foster breaks, or even better a permanent place to call home, hopefully it won't take long.

Photos to follow soon

Sunday was my first time walking this gorgeous girl and she does not disappoint 💜 Jessie is great on the lead, not too strong and most of the time we walked with a slack lead thumbs.gif She is incredibly sweet and friendly & not to mention absolutely beautiful! My mum had cooked some chicken to give out to the dogs and Jessie absolutely loved it! I look forward to walking her again but I hope her new family come for her soon! Xx
