Current Status: Homed
Scamper's Story: Scamper's owner died and left 8 cats all loved and cared for. His neighbour Norbert settled some into neighbour homes and arranged for the remaining 3 to come to RRemedies. 6 months on one of the neighbourhood homed cats appeared very ill. Scamper was taken to the vets and has been treated for severe gastroenteritis and had nowhere to place him once discharged. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Scamper is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Scamper was in foster whilst recovering from stomach bug in Haywards Heath whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.
Scamper's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Urgent call: Asked to help Scamper who has had severe gastroenteritis and been in the vets for 2 nights. Do not have a place to place him back into.
Scamper came into RescueRemedies on the 1st Dec 24

Re: Scamper Ginger DLH DofB 2019 Tunbridge Wells Foster
Scampers is currently having a lovely foster break with one of our volunteers. Here's what Georgie has to say about this gorgeous fella -
I’ve taken Scampers in to try and get him better before his goes to his new home. He came to the house and was very shy, expectingly. However he showed me that he loves a cuddle and a stroke. I’ve been giving him a groom today to freshen him up and he loves the brush. He gave the sweetest smile after I gave him a cuddle this morning. He’s going to be great in his new home, his owners are very lucky

Scampers is doing great! Still a little shy in the corner but otherwise is well in himself

Barney and his daughter Jasmine travelled to Georgie's house to meet Scamper. They travelled by train back to Hove and we have an update
Hi Lynne - yes good thanks, Scamper's been sleeping nearly all day since he got here at lunchtime but has been happy for us to stroke him and we're looking forward to helping him continue to settle. A couple of pictures attached. Thank you again,
Barney
