Esme's Story: Esme has been living as a house cat. Her elderly owner is now in permanent care and there is no friends or family able to take her in. Esme is being bought to us by the Social Worker. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Esme is neutered, chipped, hasd a dental and 3 teeth removed and undergo vaccinations. Esme is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.

Esme's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: 13.11.24: I have been working with an elderly lady who has recently moved to a care home permanently. We therefore need to look at rehoming her cat, Esme (age unknown, but looks to be mid-aged).

Are you able to offer any assistance with rehoming this cat? Additionally, the cat is not up to date with its vaccines Esme is an indoor cat only. Esme does not live with other cats currently, but does have a neighbourhood cat that visits the house too.

Esme came into RescueRemedies on the 20th Nov 24

Beautiful Esme went to our Vets today. They discovered she was already spayed and chipped. They vaccinated her. They also discovered she needed a dental. She is booked in for a dental tomorrow. She is also being adopted by Vanessa tomorrow who is a perfect match!

So today dear Esme was back in the car travelling to our vets for her dental. She had Xrays and had 3 molars removed and in a few days time she'll feel the better for it.

When we arrived back Vanessa was waiting there for her and it was truly magical to know after a week of turmoil Esme now has her just dessert!
