Vincey's Story: Vincey was found abandoned and unclaimed within a council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Vincey will be neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Vincey came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Vincey's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Vincey was being put to sleep Wednesday am we had a tired caller contacted us who was giving up hope to save him. Having being saying 'we are full' all day I just found myself saying we cant take him until the 28th!
Vincey came into RescueRemedies on the 28th Oct. 24

I said hello to Vincey yesterday. He's absolutely gorgeous!
Re: Vincey Husky x Staffie DofB July 23 RRemedies Centre
I had the honour and pleasure of taking this very gentle soul for a walk yesterday. Vincey is still a little overwhelmed by everything and so we wandered around the grounds and the paddock for an hour together rather than venturing further field. I shall save that for another day if I get the opportunity! He is a very easy boy to walk with no real pull on the lead, if he's anxious about something he speeds up to get past it, but he does seem reassured by your voice. He really enjoyed sniffing all the different smells around, and was interested in watching other dogs that passed, he was completely non reactive, although one of our vocal little Patterdales that we happened across in the woods did make the hair on his back rise a little, but I think that was anxiety as he didn't make a sound, just watched from a distance . He isn't interested in treats at the moment, he isn't particularly interested in his food either, so is still settling in and trying to make sense of it all. I am looking forward to spending more time with Vincey unless the absolute best happens and he is whisked off to a loving caring home in ultra short time He's also a stunning looking boy with one blue and one brown eye - magical

Haruto and I walked alongside Vincey and Bek and I must say, both boys were fantastic! Vincey's confidence has grown in such a short period of time and Haruto was the perfect role model

Selwyn and I had a lovely walk with Vincey for the first time today and these boys were amazing together.
They really enjoyed each other company and we encounter horses, other dogs, bikes and walkers and it didn’t faze these brilliant boys at all, they were so well behaved

Vincey joined me in offering 2 potential new walkers a taster of volunteering at the rescue and he was an absolute star he is still a little nervous of new people so I did worry that he might be a little overwhelmed with 3 people surrounding him but I didn't need to. I spent a little time in his kennel showing him the harness and explaining what I wanted to do, he gave it some thought and then came forward and put his head through the harness and so off we went. Vincey greeted the 2 ladies with polite sniffs and we set off on a very muddy walk Vincey walks at a lovely easy pace with slack leads and enjoys sniffs, he also felt it was his responsibility to check periodically that our 2 guests were still with us. He was impeccably mannered and I was enormously proud of him. At the end if his walk he politely accepted a small piece of sausage from each of the ladies, this boy is just a total poppet and it will be a very lucky family that gets to adopt him. He also has a very soft coat and striking eyes (one brown one blue )

Selwyn and I had the pleasure of walking with Vincey and Bek yesterday.
They walked lovely together and everyone really enjoyed their time together.
Vincey was nervous when first coming to RR, but he has built a lovely bond with his walkers and the kennel staff, in a short period of time.
He is such a good boy on his walk and you can see he loves Bek very much

Selwyn and I had a lovely walk in the rain today with Vincey & Maeve.
Even though the weather wasn’t the best, they all walked perfectly together and fun was had by all splashing in the puddles .
