Billy is a wonderful young dog (not yet 2 years old) and he and I recently enjoyed a day away from the kennels. He travels calmly in the car and was very excited when he arrived at my house which he clearly recognised from his previous visit. Billy settled in quickly, after the obligatory zoomies round the garden! He is such an affectionate boy who cuddles up closely on the sofa, pushing his head between your body and your arm and peering up at you with his soulful eyes. Despite his love of food he was impressively well behaved when I sat and ate my lunch, after being asked to lie down he remained there until I'd finished. We rounded off the day with a good run round a secure field, including regular dunking in the pool, as he's a real water baby! He's such a gorgeous young dog who possesses all the attributes to make a fantastic companion. All he requires is some training, lots of consistency, plenty of walks and exercise, and of course lots of love, which he will give back. I really hope his forever home is not too far way. ♥️

Gorgeous Billy boy was extra cuddly on Friday.

He wasn't interested in going for a walk until we'd stopped for a good old kiss and cuddle-fest. After that, he was happy to head into the woods for a wander.

Billy usually makes a beeline for a grassy area. He loves vegetation - to munch on, to run through and to roll around in!

The other day, Billy did roll in some particularly awful fox poo. I had to take him for a shower where I think he started to regret his earlier roll! 0002.gif]

Billy loves being told that he is a good boy. It always makes him perk up and he looks back at you with happy, soulful eyes, which makes me melt! love4.gif

Once back in his kennel, Billy nuzzled in to me for more cuddles, and who was I to say no!

Billy needs someone to have his back and make him feel safe, calm and loved. He will pay you back with so much love and affection. Can you give that to this beautiful soul?

Billy and I have been working on some training to help him to let go of things, as sometimes he likes to keep all the balls for himself!

Billy really enjoys fun training games and has been doing so well so far. He's such a good boy and wants to please. He loves to be told that he's been a good boy. He just needs to be shown how to do so and given the confidence to do it. He was only a few months old when he came into rescue.

Well done beautiful Billy boy! Kiss of love.gif

I'm in love with Billy boy. He is the cuddliest dog I've ever met with incredibly soulful eyes and a loving heart.

I took Billy for a day out from kennels but he cuddled me so much, I just had to keep him for a couple more days and nights. To be honest, I'd keep him forever if I was able to, as he is so adorable and gorgeous company.

Billy has been in rescue since he was a few months old and you can tell he is just a scared, sad puppy who is desperate for love, reassurance and protection.

Billy was happy to jump in the car when I picked him up from his kennel. He travels well in the car. Nice and quiet and putting his head as near to mine as he could.

I took Billy to a secure field and we had a wonderful time exploring the space. I've been teaching Billy a game to help him drop things from his mouth. He has picked it up really well and loves playing the game too. Well, it involves balls and treats which are two of Billy's favourite things!

Billy was fine leaving the field with me when our time was up. He jumped into the car and I took him home to mine.

When we got indoors, Billy was quite nervous and was too scared to go anywhere further than just inside the door. I sat on the floor with him and we cuddled for a while, until he felt brave enough to venture further into the house.

Before long, he went for a sniff and explore. I gave Billy a toy ball and we played with it together, which he enjoyed (I think it lasted about a day until it got destroyed!). Billy did momentarily forget himself during the excitement of the game and had a little wee on the floor. However, that was the one and only time and he toileted outside for the rest of his stay.

Billy then joined me on the sofa for more cuddles. The dear boy was exhausted and it was a lovely feeling that he now felt safe enough to fall asleep on/next to to me.

Billy was thrilled to be taken out for a walk. He sat nicely to have his harness put on and exited the house calmly and quietly. Actually, Billy didnt give a single bark the whole time he was with me.

Billy walked nicely through the streets, interested in everything around him. Luckily for him it was bin day, so there was a lot to sniff! He made friends with a few people we passed in our way, who wished him a good day and good luck in finding a home.

At one point we went to the local shop. I wasn't allowed to take Billy in. I tried to take us home but he plonked himself in the doorway and refused to move. He refused to move even more after he was given a biscuit by one of the staff. A man saw Billy and Billy said a friendly hello. The man fell in love with Billy and would have adopted him the next day if he didn't already have a dog.

I decided I would give Billy the living room to sleep in, so he could enjoy his own space. However, after I went to bed, I could hear him whimpering outside my door so he came to join me. Billy started sleeping at the foot of the bed but then he came and lay in my arms and fell asleep, which was very special.

The only problem I had with Billy in my home was that it was hard to get things done because he was always asking for cuddles - and I'm a sucker for Billy cuddles! They really are the best.

We went on a couple of longer walks which Billy enjoyed. There was one moment when I let Billy have a splash in the stream and he got a bit over-excited and was grabbing the leads. That was the only time he was anything other than very well-behaved.

Earlier in the same walk, we passed a small, reactive dog who wasn't properly under control. He lunged at Billy and barked in his face but Billy didn't react back at all. He ignored him and kept on walking. I was very proud of Billy and gave him a treat.

Please help this sad, affectionate boy get out of kennels. Billy is so wonderful and desperately needs someone to raise his confidence, give him kind guidance, be patient whilst he learns and make him feel loved and safe.

My first walk with the handsome young Billy on Monday. I went into his kennel and got a lively welcome. I waited until he had got his greeting over with and then gave him a stroke and a few treats which he calmly sat for. Then we put his harness on without any fuss. Exiting the first gate he grabbed the leads but I kept him walking and he soon stopped. We then had a nice walk before going back to the kennels. He was very good having his harness removed but did not want me to leave. He's a friendly loving young boy and I think he would be easy to train and is ready for his own home. Until then I will be pleased to be his new friend and walk and cuddle him. Sorry no photos as it was raining, next time.
