Sprinkles' Story: Sprinkles was handed in to an Animal Warden. His 6 siblings had already been received (4 came to RescueRemedies). Sprinkles is the nervous one. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Sprinkles is neutered, chipped, and undergoing vaccinations. Sprinkles is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.
Sprinkles' progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: We have been asked to help 5 juniors: 4 Bailey and Sophie, Molly and Poppy came first. Sprinkles is nervous and we have asked to take him the remaining junior from the house. Sprinkles is already neutered and chipped.
Sprinkles came into RescueRemedies on the 25th October 24

Re: Sprinkles SHD DofB Jan 24 RRemedies Centre
Newbie Sprinkles is settling in and was happy for me to drop some treats next to his bed today, which he happily ate up. I'm looking forward to seeing him again next week and watching him progress each week

I met Sprinkles for the first time today, what a sweet little girl. A bit timed, but she let me stroke her for a while.

Poor Springles still bit scared of his surroundings but no hissing and hopefully will grow in confidence daily x

Sprinkles will let you have a stroke, but is quite nervous still. But very alert and interested in what was going on today.

Sprinkles is still a little unsettled by his new surroundings and noisy housemates but no bad reactions and just observing for now. I’m sure he’ll come round soon. A lovely boy x

Day 1-3 of fostering Sprinkles (An absolute angel)
Sprinkles was feeling a bit under the weather, so myself (Laura) and my fiance (Lewis) have brought Sprinkles back to our house, for a little holiday/rehab!
And what a perfect little darling he is! Within less than 24 hours, his nerves have subsided a lot and he's thriving in our spare bedroom. One thing you should know about this guy is that if you give him food, he will be your best friend forever and my god, for a skinny little kitten, he can eat!
He is unbelievably gentle. Considering he must have felt so stressed and scared, he has not once hissed, scratched, or bitten - it's not in his nature. He's very curious and even when scared, he'll stick his head out of his hiding place to see what's going on. He supervised me cleaning his litter tray last night with a lot of interest and on that note, he is brilliant at using his litter tray. We've had zero messes.
Today, Sprinkles also learned how comfy the bed is and he's had lots of strokes and fuss whilst sitting on the bed together.
Sprinkles is the perfect older kitten and we are really hoping that a lovely adopter is found in the next couple of weeks, as we cannot foster Sprinkles long-term. If he could go straight into his forever home after our foster period is over, that would be amazing!
