Milo's Story: Milo's owner had 2 strokes and has ended up in hospital. His owner's son has been coming in 2x a day to let him in the garden and been desperately trying to find a new home for him. He was successful and Milo went in with a female Eng Bulldog and they got on well. However Milo proved too big for the person to manage 2 bull breeds. Milo returned but had no chance so we stepped forwards. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Milo will be neutered, chipped, and undergo vaccinations. Milo came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Milo's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Welcome to RR Milo, what a lovely hand/paw shake

I met the lovely Milo today. What a gorgeous boy. He was pleased to see me at his kennel and was no problem to harness, easy to exit and unphased by the dogs in the neighboring kennels. He likes a leisurely stroll as he is a keen sniffer, so I just let him get used to all the smells around the woodland nearby. He was so pleased to meet new friends at the kennel and sits and gives his paw for a treat. What a treasure he is and I am looking forward to out next walk.

I met Milo for the first time on Wednesday and he is such a lovely lump of ambull beauty - he wanted cuddles and was super friendly. When we first went out of the kennel I felt a quick hint of his strength as he was excited to get out, but on the walk he was brilliant and walked calmly. He liked to stay ahead of me, but he was an easy walk and enjoyed sniffing about. He was also really good at waiting on the side of the road to cross for the traffic. He seemed to know his name and was easy to communicate with. We saw a couple of dogs from a distance and he pulled towards them to investigate without barking, but was easily guided onwards with the walk. After a lovely walk and a treat we went back to the kennel. He pushed himself gently to me and it was pretty heart breaking to leave him there. I hope he gets his fur-ever home soon!

Gemma and I spent a few hours at the Rescue on Friday and Milo was second on our list.
And what a lovely little boy he is; he's not big and strong at all. We headed into the village and he walked beautifully; not fazed by anything. We stopped off in the park for a photo shoot.
We headed to the paddock on our return where Milo happily charged around after a few tennis balls.
He takes his treats very calmly and if you're a little slow in supplying it, will gently raise a paw! I offered him a chunk of banana while he was on top of the podium and after taking it, showed his thanks by putting both his paws on my shoulders - I didn't really have much option other than to lift him off and give him a big hug, at which point he also treated me to a big face wash!
He really is a lovely boy and has gone straight on my ever-growing list of favourites!

Milo is a potterer and is almost unbearably cute
This boy is adorable. A very easy dog. Pleased to see you and affectionate.
Milo spent a lot of our walk just pottering about, smelling the smells and feeling the feels.
What a cutie.

Gorgeous gentle Milo! I have well and truly fallen in love. Milo went for a walk today with Huey and Bailey and was absolutely good as gold! He walked along very nicely, at times he got a bit excited to see the other dogs but nothing to worry about at all. At the start of the walk Milo was very excited but as we went on, he started calm and was perfect on the lead. We went to the park and me and Milo sat for a bit and had a cuddle. What a wonderful boy. Look forward to taking him out again but I am certain he won’t be here for much longer as I’m sure he will be snapped up very soon
