Teisha's Story: Teisha came into care on welfare grounds. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Teisha is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Teisha came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

I had the pleasure of taking little Teisha out today. She is an absolute sweetheart and enjoyed cuddles and meeting some of the other walkers. She is a funny one with enormous ears and a frosty face that makes her look older than her years.
I doubt she will be with us long but she will be popular whilst she is

Teisha is just passing through and no doubt her family will soon appear to offer her a furever home. .She is a terrier sure, but an easy sweetheart to any terrier family. She will cope with older children and meets other dogs really well. Alive to cats...she is a terrier. Her white fur makes her look older than we believe she is.

I took Teisha out to the Terrier Derby at Epsom races at the weekend.

She jumped straight in the car as I opened the door and sat patiently waiting for me. When I got in she did climb on my lap for a quick cuddle, considering we’d only met 5 minutes beforehand, that goes to show what a friendly and trusting little girl she is with people

Once clipped in to the passengers seat we set off and she was a perfect travelling companion. She loved to have the window open and feel the breeze but would sit down calmly once she’d finished nosing outside.

She is really lovely to walk and has that cute little terrier trot as she happily walks along next to you.

When we arrived we were surrounded by people, cars and noise and she was brilliant. Naturally she did have a good sniff around each car with nose to the ground as terriers love to do with a bit of a pull to the lead. But reading all of the peemails on the grass is just what dogs do as we know

Teisha was great around children of all ages and even had a couple of cuddles from kind passers by who came over to enquire about Rescue Remedies. SHE WAS A HIT!

She would sometimes get a bit of a bark on when dogs would approach the RR stand, but it felt like she was being protective of her “pack” of 5 of us inside the stall gazebo. Once face to face with any of the dogs she would stop barking.

When stood outside of the gazebo and around any other dogs she didn’t seem phased at all.

She gives great cuddles and loves burgers and sausages too and doesn’t snatch food either.

Once time to head back, she jumped straight back in the car and slept on the seat next to me for pretty much the whole 30minute journey, It was very hard not to just drive her home to mine and keep her, the only thing stopping me was my own dog at home being the bull in a china shop that he is.

Whoever adopts Teisha will be getting a fantastic girl and perfect companion

I enjoyed an opportunity to take tiny little Teisha out for a walk on Sunday. She’s a quiet but lively little terrier with a lovely little fast trot and perky ears.

Teisha is light in her feet and managed to avoid all of the puddles while I was grateful I had my wellies on, as for the less graceful of us the puddles and mud were unavoidable. Meanwhile Teisha kept her dainty paws nice and clean.

Teisha is alert and it was amusing watching her respond to all the sounds, smells and movements in the wild woods. Squirrels seem to be her favourite and who can blame her they definitely enjoy teasing our dogs, racing across the ground through the leaves and up the trees.

If Teisha wasn’t on a lead I think she’d have gone right up the tree and given the cheeky squirrel a piece of her mind.

Despite seeing several squirrels and other dogs out on their walks, Teisha stayed quiet throughout and was unbothered by the other dogs with barely any reaction to their presence.

We had a lovely walk despite some light spitting and given her energy we took an extra loop of some quiet woodland for further squirrel excitement to keep her entertained.

Then as we returned to her kennel, where she gave one of the staff the sweetest little greeting. She is clearly pulling on some heart strings and the affection shared between them was lovely to see.

Teisha is an adorable little soul and gave me a lovely friendly goodbye. Teisha will definitely become a wonderful family member for some household that would prefer the local squirrels to be kept at bay.

I have been a bit slow to update, but we had the lovely Teisha come and stay with us for a week not too long ago and she is wonderful company. She travelled well in the car, secured with a seatbelt clip, otherwise she would love to wander around the seats having a smell and putting her head out of the window

Like lots of terriers, she keeps herself very busy, she was particularly enamored with a squeaky ball we bought her, and constantly picked it up, dropped it, chased it, made it squeak and generally had hours of fun. She enjoys playing, and will fetch balls and run back and forth endlessly. She was a particularly good retriever of lost balls, managing to find several previously abandoned around the garden, which was very helpful. Normal tennis balls don't last long with Teisha and were generally chewed in a very short time frame so a more robust offering is required, she also likes toys she can chew on and throw around.

Teisha walks well on the lead, and is no bother. She is toilet trained and will go quickly after you go out the door before embarking on a walk, fascinated by all the smells and new sights. She is fine with dogs and new people, taking treats well. She was good with people of all ages, happy to sit on the sofa, laps, ends of beds or on the floor.

I think she fancies herself as a bit of a guard dog as she did occasionally bark if she spotted something out of the window, or if our bearded dragon moved, but once the distraction has gone, she does stop.

Teisha is a lovely, lively terrier who will make a wonderful companion for someone, or bring a lot of joy to a family. I hope she finds her forever home soon.

Met Teisha for the first time on Saturday ..
Wow, what an adorable little lady she is!

She walks so lovely on the lead and was a complete joy to be around.
We enjoyed a relaxing stroll up the road and then had the cutest cuddles in the poet hut.

I met this sweet little dog today. I took her out to the gentleman who took her on the charity walk, and met them afterwards. He said she was impeccably behaved the whole time, and I’m not surprised. She will be a wonderful companion for her lucky adopter.

I met Teisha for the first time today. She’s sooo cute! She was feeling a bit meek in her suitical – she got spayed the other day. She allowed me to remove it and put her harness on, while enjoying some cuddles. She walked very well with Ziggy and always made sure he was following her. We walked on a busy road and she didn’t mind the traffic. She took directions very well and was great at crossing roads. What an adorable little doggie! I hope she’ll find her forever sofa very soon.
