Lottie has come into our Centre for a few days taking advantage of a kennel space vacated by dogs in temp foster.

So I’d not met Lottie properly before and I can confirm that she is the absolute bomb thumbs.gif
I love Cane Corso’s and this glorious girl is everything that is amazing about the breed love4.gif
I cannot get over how unfazed and welcoming Lottie was when I went to take her out, she was so blinking beautiful, jumping up for a little fuss and then she waited patiently while I took absolutely ages to size her harness, what a girl thumbs.gif
Heading out was easy peasy, she’s just so happy to be out and is an absolute delight, because everything is full of wonder in darling Lottie’s eyes. I was so impressed with how beautifully Lottie walks on a lead, nothing seemed to faze her and when she spotted the slightest movement from a bird or squirrel, she stopped and looked on in wonderment, never any kind of reactivity, just pure joy at something new love4.gif and that was the theme of our walk, Lottie walks like a dream, we walked past dogs and people and she happily either walked past or because she is so blinking responsive she sat instantly, looking right at me with the most amazing eye contact, she really is quite the girl.
Then I have to talk about Lottie’s absolute beauty, she is stunning, the most beautiful girl with the softest fur and she has filled out beautifully, she’s looking glorious love4.gif
Finally Lottie loves a fuss, she jumped up in her kennel at the start of our walk for a little cuddle and every now and again on her walk would look for a bit of reassurance, but she’s an easy girl to love and has really found her feet, fingers crossed her forever home is just around the corner love4.gif

Walked Lottie for the first time today, I can see how she is a walker’s favourite. She gave me a lovely greeting in her kennel, was easy to harness and once the leads were attached she was ready to go. We joined Scarlet who was walking Raffie, we kept them apart but they were not paying any attention to each other. Lottie is quite nosey and is always looking around, we saw a squirrel at one point but she didn’t pull towards and was just inquisitive. I will definitely add to my favourites list to walk again, unless she finds her home before :crossfingers.gif:

Reunited with Lottie❤️ she is just the most beautiful natured dog. We played ball in the paddock and went on a lovely, long, sunny walk. We came across an off lead dog, who was very well behaved and didn’t bother Lottie and vice versa, Lottie was very unphased. I just absolutely adore walking her; she’s brightened my spirits today that’s for sure. She’s just a wonderful all round dog who loves attention, playing, sniffing around and knows some basic commands like sit and paw. I can’t wait for her to find her forever home, she’ll make someone so unbelievably happy.

Just seconding what Sophie and all wrote. I was lucky enough the other day to get a walk with Lottie. So gentle but loving a fuss. So easy to walk and calm ignoring other dogs. She reminded me so much of Jilly, not only in colour but temprement. I remember Jilly went to a family with children, and the pictures her family sent showed how much she is loved and loving back. I have my fingers and toes crossed that her forever sofa is waiting ❤️

On the way to the paddock Lottie found this lovely purple ball that she didn’t let go of until we were back near to her kennel after playing and her walk!
I think whoever adopts Lottie will get a very decent sized lap dog, made me feel warm and fuzzy inside!
We had some lovely belly rubs!

From Sasha:

I had the pleasure of a long weekend foster with the beautiful LOTTIE, she is beautiful to look at, but also she has the purest soul to match.

‘Lady’ Lottie enjoyed time walking and exploring. Lottie is strong on the lead, which I feel is a given for her size. She doesn’t pull, she’s just heavy due to her breed… or shall I say curvy. She adores her food, and can do some basic commands to earn it. We visited lots of restaurants and pub gardens to enjoy the sunshine. Lottie’s behaviour in social settings is impeccable. She stays close by and settles quickly, she does attempt to steal your chips as quickly as your heart when sat with food! But was quickly learning that lady’s do not beg!

When approached by other dogs, she didn’t show signs of aggression or reaction. Which I was very proud of her for. She also spent time with my daughter who is seven and she adored her. I think Lottie would thrive in a family home with children who have experience with dogs.

Lottie loved nothing more than to lay on the sofa and receive love. She is affectionate, she loves with her whole heart and deserves the same in return. I hope to see Lottie settled in her very own forever home, because if anyone deserves a sofa to lay on, a garden to play in and a house to be her home. It’s this Lady 🫶🏽💕

I have been fostering Lottie for two weeks now and can say with confidence that she gets my 'would adopt if I could' seal of approval! ❤️

First of all, she is stunning. The pictures really don't do her justice! Such a beautiful face, coat colour and the softest fur!

lottie-4 Large.jpeg

She is such a loving dog, all she wants to do is sit on the sofa with you give you kisses and cuddles. 😘 To me, she is the perfect amount of needy, always happy to see you and give cuddles, but also happy to chill by herself when I'm working/cooking/cleaning etc (like now she is currently snoozing away under my desk) and she's settled enough now that she doesn't feel the need to constantly follow me around.

lottie-field-5 Large.jpeg

She is house trained, knows her name, sit, wait & paw, is easy to harness, sleeps through the night and travels well in the car. I've left her alone once for about 10 minutes and she didn't bark or get destructive, but she didn't settle either and was pacing the house and staring out of windows and at doors, so we will work on this. She sleeps in her own bed throughout the night (only sneaking on our bed in the morning if my partner gets up early).

She mainly naps throughout the day, but loves her walks and playing fetch. I took her to a secure field and she would have stayed there and played fetch for hours if she could! We also go running together a couple of times a week (although to her its just a fast walk). She is good at meeting other dogs, but can get frustrated that she can't play as she is on the lead which sometimes comes out as a bark and lunging. She loves meeting people, and has been very good with any children we have met. We have had one pub trip and she was generally well behaved, but I think she does get a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people coming from all directions. She had a bark at two people who snuck up on her, no aggression in it at all, but we moved to a table with less foot traffic and she settled much better and just lay under the table which was perfect.

I honestly don't understand how this girl is still in rescue, she would be such a good fit in so many homes. Come and meet her and give her a chance!

I've had Lottie for a month now, and she's still a dream! I don't know how she hasn't been snapped up yet ❤️

She's so sweet and lovely, always so happy to see you, wagging her helicopter tail! And she's getting really settled, gaining confidence to take herself off to bed for a nap when we are both working, and we have left her on her own a few times for up to half an hour now and she's not had accidents and managed well. Her cheeky personality is coming out too! She LOVES bread, and whilst she is very well behaved in the kitchen when we are in there and even when we are just in the house, I once popped down to the car for about 60 seconds and forgot to shut the kitchen door, and when I came back she had stolen the remainder of a loaf of bread! It's as though she was like "quick now is my chance!" 😂
