If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays. Haruto's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Urgent call could we save 2 Akitas who have come from the same house and their time had run out.

Second time of meeting this handsome chap but first as a solo walk without his previous kennel mate Reon.
Took him for a play in the paddock -
he loves a ball and has the most endearing canter like run.
Walked nicely after in the woods.
Lovely boy and what a wonderful curly tail!

It was lovely to meet Haruto for the first time today, while Mon walked Reon. What a handsome dog he is! He came up for a very friendly greeting and off we went, following Jude with Boo and Anne with Tommy through the woods. He followed them really well. He was a little unsure and excited at first to get over to them and greet them, but settled into the walk - he gladly took some reassuring cuddles. He’s got such wonderful soulful eyes and the most lovely friendly personality. I do hope he gets his forever home soon. I look forward to walking him and getting to know him more in the meantime.

I met Haruto for the second time today and wow what a glorious dog he is. I got a welcome reserved for a long lost friend with lots of cuddles and off we went. Before a walk, I took him to the paddock for some ball time. He’s a champ and plays really well as you can see in the video I took. We then went off for a nice chilled walk together. Such a lovely friendly dog.

It was our first time walking Haruto and Reon together. They walked well, sometimes trying to fit next to each other even when there was no space.

Breeze and I had a lovely first walk this week with Haruto and Kiera.
Both boys were so well behaved and really enjoyed their time together.
Haruto was clearly very taken by his walker Kiera with lots of cuddles on the way

Haruto and I walked alongside Vincey and Bek and I must say, both boys were fantastic! Vincey's confidence has grown in such a short period of time and Haruto was the perfect role model
