Enya Staffie x DofB Jan 2019 RRemedies Centre
Re: Enya Staffie x DofB Jan 2019 RRemedies Centre
Enya is such a lovely girl
She has been spayed this week so had her suitical on when I went to get her. After giving me lots of kisses she let me take it off so that we could go for a walk and she could toilet.
Despite the rain Enya was pleased to go out and we had a nice stroll around the grounds.
On returning to the kennel she rolled around on her blankets drying off her face before I put her suitical back on.
Wonderful girl who still needs to gain a little more confidence but will make someone an amazing addition to the family.

Enya has come to stay with us for a couple of days, we have walked her before so we knew she was a little nervous and when I got her out of the kennel she was sitting quietly so I thought this is probably what she would be like when she got home
In actual fact, despite the above, when we got her home she was absolutely full of beans and raring to go. She loves to play with balls, and at times can be quite boisterous, particularly when she is trying to get on your lap lick you all over the face and in your ear . She has lots of energy and loves to play.
She walks at a good pace, and actually ran for a bit with my daughter, she likes it when someone else is in front and strains to keep up. She went through the woods, along the road and around the park with no bother. As you can see from the photos she was quite bemused by the trail of geese crossing the road.
She is not a big fan of dogs, those that passed were either ignored or got a growl and a bark, not sure what she would be like if they approached off lead. The only time she tried to back out of her harness was when I tried to go a different way to the person walking with us, apart from that she was fine. She loves running around a garden, sitting up on the sofa and rolling around in the grass, as well as investigating new smells.
She can get spooked by unexpected noises, when she was laying on the sofa later at night and it was dark and the door opened she barked a bit but soon settled down. I think it is just a question of continuing to build confidence and her knowing she has a safe space to settle in. She is clean in the house and takes treats well, sitting and giving her paw when asked.
Enya definitely has lots of love to give and will hopefully find her forever home soon.

Enya was really happy to see me yesterday (to be fair she's happy to see everyone!) and I was greeted with ecstasy, a happy wagging tail and licks. She was a very good girl (of course) whilst I put her harness on and then off we went for a walk and a play. Enya doesn't pull on the lead, she started off reasonably fast but then slowed down to enjoy herself. Enya has come so far from her first walks with me, she boldly strode past the statue of the dog in the wood without even a sideways glance and we examined the stream from a safe distance. Back to the paddock and she raced around with pure happiness and responded really well to 'slow down Enya' so that she didn't run into me. Lots of back rolls and happy wriggles and chasing tennis balls (she doesn't quite bring them back to you). When I sat down she came across for a cuddle and gave me a very nice face wash. She then sat in front of me so I could stroke her head and ears and grinned back up at me so I could tickle her throat. Then she thought she might try and be a lap dog again, now I think she is adorable but she is definitely too big to sit on my lap so I suggested she sat beside me which she did and we had lots off cuddles with my arm around her shoulders and her leaning into me. We then left the paddock so Captain could come in and have a run around with Kiera and Bec, and it's safe to say Enya was totally smitten with the very handsome Captain, furiously wagging tail, and trying to go back in through (or under!!) the gate, I'm afraid I have to accuse her of flirting . Captain seemed more interested in his ball, which was a shame, but that's men for you! Enya would love a home with a nice big garden she can play in and lots of cuddles of course

I had the pleasure of spending time with Enya this weekend. If you love a cuddly dog then Enya is your girl. She ran around in the paddock for a while, chasing a ball and we went exploring together through the trees. But then she was happy just being by my side and giving me a big thank you kiss from time to time.
This girl is a truly lovely soul. I really hope she gets homed so soon. Her future forever home will be so lucky to have her

Posted on behalf of 'JulieH':
Thank you for making us so welcome today [at the Charity Walk] and for allowing us to spend time with beautiful Enya
She was so much more settled after a run in the paddock and happily said hello to a dog nose to nose when we walked her back .
Take care Lynne , thank you for everything you do for all the dogs and look forward to seeing you all soon xx

We met Enya for the first time today and … WOW! She’s such a wonderful girl! She gave me the best welcome in her kennel, like we were long lost friends – bum wiggles, licks, cuddles, the whole lot. When we got out, Chris got the same treatment and we went went to the paddock. She was really happy to run around and roll about and chase tennis balls. She also loooves cuddles and did jump on Chris’s lap the second he sat down. She’s just adorable. After a bit of paddock time, we did two laps of the grounds and she walked beautifully, taking in her surroundings. If you love full on Staffie cuddles, Enya is your girl!

Absolutely delighted to have Enya back with us after her little stay in Emergency Boarding as one of our 'Brand Ambassadors" for RR, allowing her kennel to be used to save a life. Lynne suggested I take her for a little walk to stretch her legs after her car journey and so we hustled off to the paddock after fitting a rather smart new harness. Well, I just got the best Enya cuddles and licks, enjoyed watching her check out the greenery and do a few zoomies to get the kinks out, and then more cuddles. Enya is just full of love, still has a tendency to back away if you are heading in a direction she doesn't want to go, but much quicker to reassure and reach an agreement

Enya has popped back to Emergency Boarding continuing her ambassadorial role for RR and creating space in her kennel here to save another life, but not before I managed some fabulous cuddles and a photo shoot. This girl is so friendly, and is also now showing a friendly and playful interest in other dogs. She was very taken with Shadow when she saw him in the paddock and they rushed to greet each other either side of the fence with happily wagging tails and some nose to nose sniffing and then a bit of joint running either side (very brief as although Shadow was off lead in the paddock Enya was very firmly attached to me and I don't run!!) . Enya loves the company of people and will arrive in her forever home with a whole lot of love to give
