Luna's Story: Luna was trapped with her kittens but an Essex cat Rescue and taken in by South London Rescue into foster care. Luna's kittens when old enough were homed. Luna was too shy for the fosterer to managed so we were asked if we would take her in. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Luna is now neutered, chipped, and Fully vaccinated. Luna is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay cats and dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.
Luna's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Luna is still a bit nervous, but gradually beginning to trust us and becoming more friendly. This morning she let me stroke her for a few minutes, which is great progress. A lovely cat, I think she’d settle into a nice home quite quickly.

Lovely Luna, I wish you knew how loved you are! Today she accepted dreamies from me, which is the first time I've got this close. She is a very gentle, sweet cat. She doesn't swipe or lash out when she's frightened, she just retreats backwards - you can tell she has a lovely nature. She reminds me of my last cat, who was just like Luna when we found him at a shelter - she just needs someone who accepts that she's going to take a little while to come out of her shell.

Luna is a very pretty girl, very shy but allows a stroke now and then. I think she’d blossom in a quiet home where there weren’t too many distractions.

With the regular visits and chats from our team of cuddlers, Luna is transforming from a very scared feral to a cat who is starting to trust. Just imagine how far she could come with a consistent adoring owner
And isn't she just GORGEOUS?!
Video is from cuddler Lisa, I can't take the credit for this piece of loveliness!

Luna’s still nervous, but allowed a little stroke this morning. She also enjoyed a few treats- what cat doesn’t!

Luna was happy to have me sit on the floor near her hideout and to accept some Dreamies being presented to her today She continues to get used to humans and her trust is growing.

Lovely Luna is still very shy, but she let me have a little stroke of her beautiful soft fur this morning. I’m sure if she had a quiet home she would thrive.
