Charlie's Story: Charlie's owner died and the police had no next of kin...10 cats were left, all well loved and cared for. We took 3 in: Charlie, Yellow and Binky. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Charlie is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Charlie is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting his new family.

Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.

We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: The police called - they had tried 20 charities trying to find places for these cats. We agreed to take and were grateful to all who have put themselves out to find these cats safe passage.

Also met Charlie for the first time today, he also enjoyed some fuss and attention. He sat upright, very regally, looking as though he was posing for his photo!

It's now day 5 and Charlie is still hiding and hissing at anyone who approaches him. He hid in the cupboard under the stairs, then under the bath before finding his way under the floorboards where he stayed for 2 days only coming out late at night looking for food. We hid and waited for him to come out and blocked up the gap he used to get there. He is now under a kitchen cupboard. He uses the litter tray and eats when nobody is around.
