Cyril's Story: Cyril was abandoned by his owner and taken on by a neighbour where he was bullied by cats and dogs. He moved out the area and appeared bedraggled with poor skin at a lady's who wasn't a cat person but felt sorry for him. Lady repeatedly offered him online free to good home Cyril needs to be an only cat with a gentle reassuring, non-intrinsic approach for him to build trust. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Cyril is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Cyril was in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting his new family.

Met Cyril for the first time today. Not in great shape poor boy. Having only arrived yesterday he's understandly a little overwhelmed at the moment,but I could see he wanted to come and say hello.
I let him be today but I think once he's been to the vets for his MOT and is feeling more settled, he will be a favourite with the cat cuddlers

Met Cyril for the first time today and fell in love. He’s obviously had a hard life, but I think with a bit of love and affection he would enjoy spending his last few years in a much happier place. Not surprisingly he is a bit nervous, but he let me stroke him even though he was a bit scared. I think he’d flourish in a quiet loving home.

Oh it was such a joy to properly meet Cyril and enjoy his company yesterday
This wonderful senior gent hasn't been with us long, after having a pretty tough time of life. I plonked down in his enclosure and started chatting to him, and felt he would be OK if I offered a stroke on his terms as he came out to see me and seemed to enjoy having company. One head scratch led to 20 minutes of this gorgeous chap loving the gentle strokes and not wanting me to stop
It was almost like Cyril remembered being loved and cuddled from somewhere in his previous life, and as he settled into being stroked by me his memory kicked in and he remembered that strokes and affection are rather lovely really
I think that Cyril must have been a much loved cat for many years, until for whatever reason he was abandoned and fell onto hard times. He definitely recognises and enjoys receiving affection, and wants more of those happy feel-good strokes to get him back to a happy cat place! He certainly doesn't give off feral vibes and didn't hiss, bite or swipe once the whole time I was visiting him.
Cyril is being treated for a skin complaint and feels a bit crusty here and there still, but once his skin clears up I am looking forward to having him on my lap for a good brush and tons of love
Cyril would be an absolutely magnificent companion cat for someone who has a nice quiet home and plenty of love to give him

had a lovely visit with senior cyril today every day he is becoming more trusting and friendly. he enjoys a good head rub and is happy to explore his surroundings and check out his neighbours
cyril is also exceptionally good at blowing bubbles

Little Smarty Cyril was easy to scoop up (like ice-cream!) and place in a carrier to travel back to our vets.

He was easy to exam and he has made good progress with his skin condition and he received his 1st vaccination. Our Vet was very happy with him, calling him a sweet boy!

I love this boy so much. This morning he was straight into my lap, purring, making biscuits and dribbling. He’s obviously been loved in the past, and just blossoms with a bit of love and affection. He so deserves a kind home where he can spend his retirement years in peace. He would bring so much pleasure to whoever homed him.

Such a transformation in Cyril already in the short time since he arrived with us He is AMAZING! Visibly delighted to receive a visitor and wants lots of fussing and attention. What a superstar.

Met Cyril for the first time and I’m smitten He is adorable, such a lovely affectionate, gentle boy. Amazing with his difficult past that he is so loving. I really enjoyed sitting with him. He will be a lovely addition to a loving home and I’m sure will show soo much love to the right person. Adorable x

I adore Cyril. Photos do not do justice to how lovely he is. He is so gentle in nature, very purry and affectionate. He is just lovely and I adore spending time with him
