Jilly's Story: Jilly came into care on welfare grounds. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Jilly is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Jilly came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Jilly's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: Hi Lynne. Can you help Jilly at all? She is a Cane Corso - although I think maybe a bit of something else. She is lovely with people and dogs

Jilly came into RescueRemedies 21st May 24

Oh beautiful Jolly Jilly!

Had the pleasure of being one of the first walkers to get Jilly out!

She’s in an absolute dream boat!! So sweet and friendly in the kennel and out! Beautiful Blue/Grey colouring!

Had a lovely walk with Austin and Bleu! She’s dog friendly it seems and quickly happily walked along with them! Didn’t take any notice of the cats either!

Think she will be loved by all the walkers very quickly!

I had the absolute pleasure of taking Jilly out for a walk yesterday. I met her in the paddock where she was having a play - she adores her ball and became very exuberant when I kicked it about for her, but she quickly calmed down when I called her over for a treat. She sat down to receive it without me telling her to and she enjoyed some fuss before I attached her leads with no issue and headed out on our walk.

She was so well behaved while we were out walking. She didn't pull and walked at a nice pace. She was interested in the other dogs we passed although I'm sure she just wanted to go over and say "hi". She certainly wanted to greet every person that she saw! She is super friendly and gentle.

I have no doubt that Jilly will be homed soon, she is an absolute dreamboat. If you get a chance to spend some time with her you'll quickly fall in love. I can't wait to walk her again although I have a feeling she'll be super popular with all our walkers, and I hope she finds her forever home soon.

Beautiful Jilly. Lovely, friendly girl, she gave a happy greeting in her kennel and was easy to harness and lead. She was excited coming out but quickly settled once the walk had started.
We were joined by Milo (RR), and Jilly gave him playful bounce whenever she turned around to see him, but otherwise they plodded along nicely together.

Beautiful, bouncy Jilly. We had our first walk together this week and she was an absolute pleasure. She was all about the sniffs and walked really nicely. There was one moment when something spooked her and she jolted. I called her to me and she sat on my feet and settled backed down after a few strokes and some soothing words. When she comes to you, she sort of bounces into place for strokes (you can see on one of the videos). It's very funny and cute.

She is so sweet-natured and I think a family would absolutely love having her as their new member. Until then, I look forward to spending some more time with her.

Met Jilly for the first time today and she’s gorgeous! She had a great time zooming round the paddock running after the ball and enjoyed a treat in the sun. She walked past the cats with no interest at all. Loose leads most of the walk and just loved sniffing around.
