Sasha's Story: Sasha and her litter brother Dylly were bought into care. They were living with cats and young children. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Sasha's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Sasha, what a beauty she is. The calmer of the two in the kennel. It would be handy if you can, to get Dylly shut in to get Sasha out as he will door dash. She is such a lovely lady and just wants to be loved and to give you the same. Walks really nicely and loves to stop and sniff her new surroundings. She is a really lovely dog

Today was the second walk with Sasha, she is a happy, wiggly girl!
She is cuddly, playful and bouncy. She walks well, at the end of lead but not pulling. Unlike her brother, she loves to sniff and explore, and doesn’t worry about the puddles! In fact, I get the impression she is a water baby!
She finds wonder and excitement in every new smell, and has the happiest energy about her.
She is so much fun and would make a great addition to any family!

Love, love, love Sasha. Such a ball of fun and a gentle soul that’s keen to learn. Enjoy our walks

You wow me every time we walk. Such a beautiful dog. Yes, it helps to separate her from Dylly and vice versa to get her harnessed which is very easy and is very loving towards you. Sasha is so full of energy when you first get her on a walk and have found that a trip to the paddock before a walk works wonders. I took her to the stream where she was like a child in wellies, splashing about, having a lot of fun. She can have small outbursts of being skittish but settles quickly. Not dog reactive and is happy with people passing by. So full of love

Another wonderful walk with Sasha, she really is a bundle of fun! She is polite around the dogs she meets and passes. She walks at the end of her lead but not pulling, and enjoys exploring, sniffing and cuddling her walker!
Super girl!

What’s not to love? Sasha is a ball of energy that just wants to get out there and enjoy herself. So full of love and cuddles. Had another good walk today and yes, back to the stream where she gets into real youngster mode again. Such a character

Hadn’t walked Sasha in a while in fact since she first came in with her brother as a sweet little puppy and my oh my hasn’t she grown into the strongest and smartest girl… she’s lovely to walk, not bothered by other dogs or people. She has power and energy but doesn’t pull on the lead. Am a fairly small person and can manage her without any problems. She can get silly and playful when you walk with Dylly her brother but listens well to instructions and stops when you tell her to do so. Here we are cooling off in the stream on a hot and sticky day …. Smashing girl, beauty and power oh and a water baby

Sasha is a beautiful dog. Very loving and full of fun. Very responsive to her name and listens well to commands. Sits perfectly to harness up and will take treats very gently. I am biased as she stole my heart on first meeting her when both her and Dylly came to the kennels. She is full of energy that the paddock sorts out!

A quick trip to the paddock, where Sasha can stretch her legs and have some cuddles, where she completely relaxes before heading off for our walk. She is very good at listening to you and seems to take care of you too as always giving a glance to check on you. Lovely girl to walk and has calmed down a lot without having a skittish moment! She is a little treasure
