If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays. Gwenda's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Gwenda has had an impoverished life and now needs help to offer her a Rescue place. She will lose her life without this offer imminently. Mx

Wow Gwenda has arrived and she is l o v e r l y. She had been used and abused for breeding. Her demeanour is soft. Wonderful girlie
NB anyone who remembers Bella who we homed to Gwen will capture Gwenda and look how the 2 names Bella and Gwen blend into her name amazing co-incidence

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Gwenda and taking her out for a walk round the grounds and then into the paddock. We played ball and she was very excited and happy to bring it back for me to throw again, I was surprised how easy she was to walk, she is very calm and not bothered by other dogs, people or distractions. Lovely girl who deserves a home that will adore her

So of course there was never going to be any way that I wasn’t going to fall head over heels in love with this beautiful girl
Gwenda is my kind of girl, she is everything that I love about the Cane Corso breed, she is sweet and loving, but also rather independent and supremely loyal
Gwenda was so beautifully welcoming in her kennel, she was a little bit excited but very manageable, all she really wanted to do was get going on her walk. Once out and about Gwenda is very easy, she’s quite the plodder and very happy to take her time, she loves a good old sniff and honestly I couldn’t have wished for a better companion
Gwenda is very beautiful, she has the sweetest nature and I absolutely loved being out and about with her, I look forward to getting to know this lovely girl better
So I know I’ve said it before but I’m going to say it again and again and again, you stupid people who think that cutting a dogs ears off is going to make them more tough and aggressive, you know know nothing about these dogs you cannot even begin to understand them, they are so amazing, they love so hard and to know them is to love them

Gwenda is very good natured, clever, likes a game of ball and glides around with style. She reminds me of big Quinn.

Isn't Gwenda amazing. Sometimes a dog just has that gentle vibe about them and Gwenda is one of those dogs.
I was lucky enough to walk her on Saturday and somehow I have a new favourite
Gwenda walks without pulling, loves a cuddle and you can see has a fun side. She was so good with passing dogs and walkers out on the Common.
I am sure she will be whisked away to her forever home very quickly.

Re: Gwenda Cane Corso DofB 2020 RRemedies Centre
I mostly walk terriers, today I met Gorgeous Gwenda in the walkers area with Emma. Gwenda is a giant bundle of loveliness. Seemingly just working out what treats are, taking them gently from my fingers. Seemed funny to be giving her miniscule pieces of sausage when she could eat the whole lot in one bite. I hope someone snaps up this beautiful dog, to give her the very best home after a life of obvious trauma. She so deserves it.

Oh I remember Bella. I still think of her, my first Cane Corsa love and sadly first doc-eared. Looks like this girl will be an absulute treasure too. Looking forward to meeting you Gwenda, but wishing you get whisked home before then.
Would you like to walk our lovely dogs too?
