Poppet's Story: Poppet and Munchkin were born to a stray mum who was then captured and as pregnant Pip and Pippa were born later. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Poppet is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Poppet is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.
Poppet's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Wew were asked to help Poppet and her brother.
Poppet came into RescueRemedies on the 3rd may 24 with her litter brother Munchkin.

Re: Poppet Tortie DofB 2023 RRemedies Centre
Poppet arrived on Friday with her litter brother Munchkins. Its a strange one as they join their sister and brother who were born after them in the next litter, That makes Poppet and Munchkins larger but no quite so confident.
To tell Poppet apart from her sister Pippa... Poppet has a white nose and ginger tip to her tail. Pippa has a white stripe on her nose. Poppet and Munchkins are booked into our vets for neutering on the 7th May 24

Little Poppet was captured into a carrier for the 2nd time this week yesterday. 1st time was to travel into our Rescue but then 5 days later to our Vets to be spayed, chipped and 1st vaccinated. Its all a mammoth ordeal for her as she is yanked out of her comfort zone where she was engaged in a known environment, in a house with her siblings without too many demands put upon her. Here she is in a new environment with new people popping their heads in to her space and entering her area. She currently sits tight, observes and fleas if any demands are put upon her like a hand slowly moving around her space.
In the carrier she was acting like a trapped wild little thing. On the way back from the Vet she was on the passenger seat and watched me very carefully as I spoke to her and looked towards her and our gaze met frequently seeing her beautiful eyes, At one point you could see her actively engaged in "How the hell do I get out of this..." If there was a way Poppet would have found it.
Well we are very sorry Poppet to put you through this but here begins your journey forwards in preparation for finding a caring home. Unlike your mum you will not be subjected to living on the street and having litter after litter.
Poppet is now settling back with her younger brother and sister Pip and Pippa and darling friend Mylo. Her litter brother is just across the way not that she knows that. She has a good chance of learning from Mylo and her younger siblings who seem more advanced in their trust. Beautiful little girl you are on your journey we know your destination... a loving home

This little sweetie is getting used to us all and came out to say hi today She watched very closely the interaction her roommates enjoyed with me, and whilst she isn't quite ready to be cuddled yet, she was checking me out closely and was keen to get involved when the Dreamies came out! Poppet has loads of potential and just needs someone to give her the time she needs to learn to trust, and then you'll see her really flourish
