Trixie's Story: Trixie was trapped in a colony of cats in North London. She has had a litter of kittens but alas none survived. Trixie is friendly and loves a cuddle but is also mischievous! Loves food and dreamies. Trixie is used to cats and dog but not children. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Trixie is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Trixie is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.
Trixie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: We have been asked to help Trixie to prep her for and find her new home

Trixie Little Black DSH DofB 2023 RRemedies Centre
Re: Trixie Little Black DSH DofB 2023 RRemedies Centre
Little Trixie was spayed yesterday, vaccinated and chipped. She is settling back today and it was lovely to witness Trixie and Clementine curled up together this morning as if in an embrace. Trixie has the yellow eyes, Clementine has yellow eyes with green centres. We have a collar on Clementine to help us tell them apart. They are both tiny and very very sweet. A little shy due to their backgrounds you would think they are sisters but no.

Clemmie and Trixie are tiny little gentle souls
They are both recovering from their spays but were very happy to have some company today and are both total sweethearts who love a stroke and some interaction. Here is a short video showing my daughter and I getting to know them, and some photos of Trixie from today Trixie came out into the enclosure to say hello whereas Clemmie wasn't ready for that today and received her visitors from the comfort of her bed.
Both Clemmie and Trixie would make wonderful companion cats and I am sure that with time will settle into a new family beautifully - we didn't see any hissing, swatting or grumpiness today - just two little babies who we can't wait to pick up and snuggle once they are all healed from their operations

Little Trixie was stroked and lifted into a carrier to join her "sister" Clementine for a trip to the Vets. Last time she was spayed. Our Vet found she had an odd inside with only one side present and ovine type tissue like a shrivelled ovary and no ovary on other side. It won't affect her in any way but if there is any ovine material that wasn't able to be find, a very very slim chance, in theory she could have a season but could never now have kittens.
Trixie this time was only being checked over and given her 2nd vaccination. All is well. She is tiny only 2.77 kilos and being to look more sturdy and heathy. She is sharing not only with Clementine but also 2 mature confident cats Daisy and Minnie. She also has little Munkins in their midst who is timid and Trixie will act as a role model as with her fellow queens.

Poor little Trixie is a little under the weather at the moment and staying in bed. Xhecis a dainty pretty lady who has had a tough time. She deserves a loving home. I hope it comes soon

Little Trixie was down in the dumps so we reviewed her health and separated her. She has complied with treatment. We have had to bath her several times due to her diarrhoea which we managed in the end gentle warm water showered through a carrier as a soothing exercise.
We are all pleased with her recovery and whilst we are keen to get her back with her sister Clementine and friend Daisy we are giving her until Saturday to reassess and make sure she is stable and through the other side.
