Current Status: Homed
Mylo's Story: Mylo was handed in to a Rescue after owner was evicted from a flat so moved in with Partner's parents with other cats and dogs. Mylo is shy and didn't do well living with other animals and children. Mylo would do best quiet home as an indoor cat. Once Mylo settles he loves a fuss. He can be vocal and is loud especially when asking for something. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Mylo is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Mylo is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life. Mylo's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: We have been asked to help Mylo find his new family. He is sharing with young cats whilst in Rescue.
Mylo came into RescueRemedies on the 28th April 24

Oh my goodness, Mylo is the most wonderful boy! I met him for the first time this afternoon. He is peachy apricot coloured, and a solid chunky boy with big squidgy cheeks which are just calling out to be smooshed
Mylo is definitely an anxious boy, and we know he has had lots of changes in his life and been scared of things before, and was initially scared of me too. But after sitting in the enclosure for a little while chatting, he did come to say hello and allowed me to come close enough for a stroke - which we could have carried on with all afternoon! I heard a nice solid purr and couldn't resist a little scratch of that gorgeous chunky neck of his!
I could see Mylo doing best with a quiet new home, perhaps an older couple/person who are home a lot or someone who works from home..... I think he would love some 121 attention and to have someone close by - his eyes lit up once he seemed to realise that I was there to see just him (the kittens sharing his enclosure were hiding from me, and Mylo was the target of my affections today!). I can imagine Mylo being most content on a nice sofa where he doesn't have to be scared of other animals in the home. He really is gorgeous so I'm sure he won't be waiting too long for his forever family

Our gorgeous boy enjoyed a lovely stroke and head scratches this afternoon, and plenty of treats! Mylo is a charmer and a real big softie who would love a home of his own

Mylo is just fabulous, he enjoyed a good stretch after some treats today and posed for some photos!
He continues to wait patiently for a family of his own where he can truly flourish after such a sad start in life

Mylo demonstrating his enjoyment of lick-e-lix. Think he was trying to eat the packet!

Mylo is a quiet man. In preparing to take 6 cats to the vets this am Mylo was our first choice as he is so Mr no nonsense. A stroke and a gentle lift and he was settled in his carrier. Today Mylo had another check over and his 2nd vaccination. He doesn't know but we know Mylo goes into his new home on Wednesday. He has a journey up to Yorkshire but will emerge into his new home and really come into his own leaving Rescue behind him: He has a special lady eager to offer him his future.

This gentle gent just loves some fuss, and is getting a bit fed up with the bouncy kittens he shares his enclosure with as he much prefers a more sedate pace of life, bless him! Any opportunity to grab my attention from the kittens, he took it, and really just wants to have someone truly devoted to him
