Milo's Story: Milo was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Northern council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Milo is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Milo came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Milo has arrived and what a fabulous dog! We were all very curious to understand what size he was. I would say he is the size of a female Boxer, slender frame so not chunky like a boxer. The impression you get is as a bullbreed...slender, taller frame, black brindle.

What a friendly boy...he wags his whole body on site of anyone person or dog approaching. Milo is young so a little jumpy but as yet we haven't seen him engage his mouth.

Question for all? Why do Rescue Remedies get all the best dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Walked gorgeous Milo today. Can definitely see both boxer and staffy in him.

He was bouncy to harness, but once out he was such an angel, really really easy walk. No pulling but setting a good pace, happy to walk past other dogs no issues. We walked past a bulldog and he lay down waiting for her to come closer, seemed very submissive play vibes, adorable.

I didn’t give him any treats until we were nearly back at the kennels but when I did all of a sudden he knew how to sit and give both paws 0002.gif] . Someone’s clearly taught him this and he’s eager to please.

He’s super sweet and likes a good scratch. He did jump up on me whilst I was standing to reach up for a fuss but I’m sure he’ll learn not to do that very quickly. Lovely lovely boy.

Milo is indeed a really lovely dog love4.gif
I had the pleasure of walking him yesterday and apart from being very bouncy in his kennel, he was the perfect companion. No lead pulling and no reaction to traffic or passing dogs.
We also had a game of ball in the paddock. Loves chasing the ball and even picking it up but then dropped it elsewhere so some work needed on playing 'fetch'!
Fantastic dog.

I met Mr Milo today!

Was a loving boy he is!! No issues in the kennel at all! Didn’t like his harness going on but can understand he’s not used to it!

He walks lovely and he checks in and listens to you. Sits nicely when crossing the road and gives paw when asked!

Looking forward to lots more walking together 🥰💙

Walked Milo for the first time today and he was very excited to greet me in his kennel. Quite jumpy to harness but we got there with some squeezy cheese and treats. Once out he was a dream to walk, barely pulling at all. Took him to the park and got him to sniff out some treats and he loved a good scratch.

Oh marvellous Milo!

We went on a very very long walk and he was great! Sat when we cross the road was very attentive looking at me for direction! We sat at the park and had a little cuddle for about 10 minutes which he thoroughly enjoyed, we carried on our walk And we met a fellow fosterer who very much liked Milo!

He’s a very affectionate and sweet boy who has a willingness to learn and will be very easily trainable! Can’t wait to walk him next week!

Milo has come to stay with us for a bit and he is just stunning. The pictures don’t do him justice, he has a wonderful deep brindle colour and very long legs that get in positions that advanced practitioners of yoga would be proud of.

He is very much a people person, loves a cuddle, sitting across you on the sofa, and giving very slobbery licks. He has been excellent with our two girls 12 & 14.

He is house trained, and walks well on the lead. Someone has obviously done some training with him as he will sit and high five for treats and my daughter has now taught him to lie down on command so is keen to please and learn and is really good fun.

In his exuberance to greet people he has jumped up a couple of times and due to his size does get quite high, but understands no and will get stop when asked.

He has met lots of dogs on his walk and has only wanted to play, again he wiggles, jumps around and generally just enjoys himself.

Most of the time he is fairly placid, following whoever is in the house and keeping them company but he does love to chase balls and chew dog toys thumbs.gif

Milo is a real heart stealer who will be a wonderful addition to a family.
