Davy's Story: Davy has lived in a large colony outside with open shed access for food and shelter for nearly all his life. Apart from Georgie, who we have just homed, Davy is the last of the colony and has needed to relocate to ourselves after losing his home. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Davy is neutered, chipped, had a full dental and vaccinated. Davy is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting his new family.

Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.

Davy came into RescueRemedies in February 24 as a very elderly cat

Davy is now sharing with Hollie and has recovered fully from having 9 teeth out, vaccination and full MOT under Gen An.

We will get some pictures. It's early days as Davy finds his paws having lived elsewhere for over 19 years!

Davy is a lovely looking boy. Loves a treat and is very gentle in how he comes forward. A little nervous of us at the moment but he seems eager to connect and interested in interacting so hopefully he will settle soon. It’s been a little bit of a difficult few weeks for him

Davy has welcomed Holly in to join him and they take great comfort from one another

Davey is a beautiful big boy, and it has been lovely to see him fall deeply in love with his new partner, Holly, since we sadly lost Davey's original packmates a few weeks ago. Holly and Davey share a similar background as ferals, and clearly "get" each other and understand each other. Holly has noticeably become more interactive and happier since connecting with Davey, and Davey looks after her. They are usually sat next to each other or curled up together in their "apartment" (the top shelf of their enclosure, which they have claimed as their marital home!).
Davey and Holly are still wary of humans but are getting used to us, and both enjoyed licking a treat off my daughters fingers today from the comfort of their apartment

I have a real soft spot for chunky Davy and he’s come a long way since joining us. He now comes out to say hello and loves a treat which he will take from your hand. As proof of his gentle nature too he’s really bonded with lovely shy Holly He’s a lovely boy deserving of love xx

Oh we do love Dave A big beautiful boy who is getting to know us and now happily licks treats off our fingers and comes to say hello rather than scarpering away. I'm sure he would trust in leaps and bounds with patience afforded to him

Davy is like an elderly gentleman who is content to sit and watch the world go by. Enjoys a few cat treats, and a gentle stroke. I love him!
