We had the opportunity to have Jacqui again this weekend and of course we jumped at the chance! We got to the rescue quite late and Jacqui had already had her dinner and was settling down for the night. She was so excited when she saw Gareth and I and jumped straight out of bed ready to go! She’s still jumping straight in the car which is so lovely that she knows she’s going somewhere fun if she gets in the car!

When we got to where we were staying, Jacqui got straight into bed! she has had a lot of sleep to catch up on and she’s definitely done that. Shes clean in a home and over night. Jacqui had a lay in this morning and had to be encouraged to get out of bed for a wee! Jacqui loves to snuggle up in bed (or on top of you) so be prepared for lots of cuddles!

This sweet girl has so much love bottled up inside her, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Jacqui thrives on connection and bonds deeply with those who show her kindness. Whether it’s quiet evenings, lazy mornings, or simple moments spent together, she’ll be right there, soaking it all in. Jacqui gives the best cuddles and loves with her whole heart.

We went to a secure field where Jacqui loved to run around in the fresh air and play ball. We then went for a walk in a local town where she did show nerves at first but with encouragement had a good look/sniff around and learn all of the day to day noises.

Jacqui is searching for her forever home, a place where she can feel safe, cherished, and truly part of the family. In return, she will give endless cuddles, complete loyalty, and a love that will last forever. If you couldn’t already tell this girl has our hearts completely and we love her so much. She really is the perfect dog and deserves to be loved and have her forever home

This girl looooves her sleep! She slept in way after we got up this morning and had to be encouraged to get up for a wee. She’s not a fan if it’s raining but she’ll still go with some encouragement. To be honest I don’t blame her when she could be in a warm bed!

Today we took Jacqui to a local framers market where everyone complemented her on how beautiful and well behaved she is. She came into contact with an off lead dog and she was so gentle and lovely. Even with people wanting to say hello she’s got so much better and confident. We went for a nice long walk and Jacqui walked beautifully near the busy roads. She loved sniffing round a new area! Jacqui will sit if you ask her to sit before crossing the road and walks with nice loose leads.

Jacqui has come on so well from the very nervous dog she was when she first came to the rescue. She wouldn’t even come out of her room. Now she’s out seeing the world and realising it’s not that scary. We love seeing her become so confident as she has SO much love to give and truly deserves the love back. She’s the best girl

Jacqui and I did the whole keepers cottage walk yesterday which is huge for us! I’ve taken it so slow with her since I’ve been waking her and each time we make more and more progress and I can see her confidence building. As usual the first half of the walk she was a little unsure and would check in with me lots and often stop and not want to go any further, but with some cuddles, some encouragement, and a few tasty treats it was easy to get her on her way again. Second half of the walk she was absolutely fine, her tail came up and she had much more confidence, she was trotting along ahead of me. We saw loads of police cars on the road, people getting out etc… and she was completely fine, someone even came up to us and asked a question and she wasn’t scared at all. Shes so responsive on the walk and is very good at pulling over to the side to let dogs past, or even changing direction to give other dogs space. She’s come such a long way from the first time I met her, and I can’t wait to see her confidence continue to grow, and hopefully her forever home is just around the corner. She’s an absolute angel
