I had another wonderful walk with Martha moo on Saturday, explored the kennel grounds before we headed off for a walk. We came across a few dogs on our walk I normally distract Martha with a treat, we walked past benji who had kindly pulled in to let us go and Martha took a good look but walked past nicely no reaction to him. I do think Martha’s reactions are just because she doesn’t know what else to do sometimes. We had plenty of cuddles along the way. Martha likes to take her time sniff and plod along. Martha is always a joy to walk. Martha is a giant bundle of love, I’m really hoping there is someone ready to give Martha all the love and cuddles she deserves.

Had my now regular weekly walk with the big softee Martha. Turned in to a long walk as Martha decided which way she was heading, which was not through the muddy and wet woods. Loves being out and smelling the world, but avoids puddles and wet muddy places. Met a few dogs that barked at her, and she did pull towards them but no barking in return. Carried on when said no and took a long head and ear rub as a reward.
Was interested in a field of sheep, but moved on when asked. And then was keen to chase a squirrel but again behaved when told no and went back to walking and smelling the world.
Ideal walking companion.

I walk the fabulous Martha most weeks, she’s a gorgeous lump of a dog, full of bounce, love and joy at life. She walks really well on the lead but does pull when she sees horses, sheep in the field. She’s getting better with dogs and walked so well on the charity walk surrounded by dogs.
She listens well, will do anything for a treat and leaps into action rather than walks, I adore her and her loveable nature. She so deserves to find her furever family where she can settle and share her love for life with them.

I hadn’t walked Martha in a while, so it was good to walk her 2 days in a row! She’s a gentle giant. Yesterday after I got her out we walked past the walkers area where she went over to two of the other volunteers who gave her lots of attention. After this we went to the main paddock where she walked very well, not pulling at all. In the paddock she was having lots of sniffs and then came over to me for some attention and treats! Following this, we went for a walk around the grounds.

Today, I got to walk Martha again. She was easy to harness up and get out and is excited at first but then settles once she’s away from the kennels. We did the keepers cottage route, where she walked nicely for me again. We saw a few other rescue dogs on the walk so we went to one side to let them past. Martha wasn’t really interested in them and I gave her a treat as a reward for waiting patiently. She stopped a few times ok route where she would turn around for some attention. Shes a great dog and I hope she finds her forever home soon!

Martha is the sweetest, most loving soul you could ever meet. For all her size, she does the most adorable Bambi-style hops over big muddy puddles in the woods, and it’s impossible not to smile watching her.

When my family joined me to walk her last month, they completely fell in love, everyone had something lovely to say about her and are still talking about her to this day. Even though she was strolling through the woods with total strangers during the charity walk, she was so trusting and gentle!

Martha listened beautifully to commands, took her treats gently and was very excited by every mouthful. Whenever we paused on the walk, she would lean right into my father‑in‑law for extra fuss and cuddles. She had only known him for about 20 minutes and was already asking for love like they were old friends.

Martha has the most adorable face, and it perfectly matches her warm, affectionate, funny and loving character.

None of us can understand how this girl doesn’t already have a home of her own. How is she still waiting?! She’s absolutely wonderful!

If we didn’t already each have dogs at home, we’d honestly be arguing over who got to adopt her first.

I can’t wait to see her again! But truly hope that she finds her loving forever home real soon xx

Have met Martha twice recently for a walk, I am not 100% confident as I’ve not seen her strength yet so been walking with another volunteer each time (thanks guys!)

She has been so perfect on both walks, as long as you keep her moving when she sees another dog she seems quite happy to plod along. She’s a big dog and I’m sure she can be strong when she wants to be, but luckily I am yet to see it. She’s a bit of a princess though and really doesn’t like the mud. She’s very people friendly, a very sweet advocate for her breed.

I took Martha out for a walk today, she always walks really well, doesn’t pull, just stays by my side. We went through the woods and back on site. We had a pit stop in the poets hut where she did a lot of sniffing and jumped up on the chair with me for some attention. After the poets hut we went in the paddock where she climbed on to the platform and she sat nicely for me whilst I took some photos and gave her treats. We didn’t see any other dogs out today as it was later on. She also had a long lasting chew from me which she enjoyed In her room whilst I put the harness on her.

I couldn’t wait to take Martha to the adventure barn, she jumped straight in the car and settled in the back, she travelled really well in the car. Martha loved the secure field, it was lovely to see her run around in the sand as she’s not a fan of the mud atm.
Martha took everything in her stride, happily pottering around and enjoying the chance to relax on the sofas there, she really doesn’t know her size and thinks she’s a lap dog. It was lovely seeing Martha enjoy the space to have a run and even do some agility.
Martha has so much to offer, she’d love a family who enjoys gentle adventures, cosy downtime, Martha is so loving and is just happy to be with her people.
