Burt arrived for an overnight stay. Didn't take him long to crash out. It has, after all, been a very long day!

Had Burt for 2 nights. What a star. Very well mannered. Excellent in the house. Low maintenance. Good natured. Good around food and the bin. Confirmed lapdog. Very friendly. Listens to his name and easy to direct. Has a sleepy, contented purr, when he's laying on you or being stroked. Hasn't been scratching or overly licking himself. Content to sleep most of time.
Met a few friends and he was very good with the introductions; he was a big hit for sure.
Likes to sniff everything when out, and will eat anything left on the pavement if you don't spot it first.
An excellent dog to have around.

What a lovely boy Burt is, he just loves life and is always so happy. He is incredibly strong but I found he was only pulling around the kennel grounds, and once we got out into the woods on our walk he settled in really well and didn’t pull at all. Once he’s out on his walk he just loves to sniff which helps him decompress. He’s such a goofy boy and is just a big softy inside and out - I’m always so shocked how silky soft his fur is!

Haven’t walked Burt in a while so today we just stayed on kennel grounds and a walk along the lane.
Burt was so excited to be going out so took me a few minutes to get him ready in between cuddles and a few kisses.

I knew Burt could be strong so the first few minutes navigating slippery mud and puddles was fun.

Once on the lane Burt settled and although still quite strong was very manageable.

There was a fair bit of him checking in with me and only once he jumped up at me but not grabby think he just wanted a cuddle.
Burt is incredibly affectionate and cuddly.
Sadly forgot to get pictures but he’s an extremely handsome and lovable boy.

I walked Burt today and what a fantastic dog. How he hasn't been homed amazes me.
He just wants to be loved and shows so much affection. He is strong and can pull at times but with more exercise than he gets at the kennels I am sure he'd be fine. He listens and adheres to firm instruction.
Some horses came by today and we just moved over and I scratched his neck as they passed and he didn't react in the slightest.
A gorgeous boy who would make a wonderful companion.

I’ve been walking lovely Burt lately and one thing I’ve noticed is he loves to give you a hug, it’s an actual hug it’s so heartwarming, Burt hugs are honestly the best. This boy has so much love to give and he’s definitely up for some fun, he’d be the best companion. I really hope he finds his forever family soon, he so deserves it and I know he’s going to bring so much joy to their lives. You can’t look at Burt and not smile he’s just such a happy goofy boy!
