Wendy stayed with me for two nights and was the best guest! As always she travelled very well in the car (we also went to the McDonald’s drive thru where she enjoyed the attention from the staff!). She settled in quickly and made herself right at home. She can get over excited at times but I just remove toys and ignore her and she settles again.

Walks:

She loves a walk but can be a bit strong on the lead at first, clipping the lead to the front of her harness made a difference and helped her keep a nice pace. We made space whenever a dog passed just for good practice, she’s not reactive but don’t want her to learn to say hello to every dog, however one lovely man asked if his pom/chi mix could greet Wendy and she was so happy, good sniffs and play bows then a happy roll around afterwards. She also saw 2 cats on our walk, which she was interested in (didn’t pull but instead froze) and I was able to call her away easily!

Food:

Overall she’s very good and loves a treat, I spoilt her and gave her some steak, cucumber, pepper and some nuggets. She can sometimes whimper when I’m eating (which is actually very cute), ignoring her or a firm “no” works and she settles

Toilet trained:

No accidents at all. She whimpers and goes to the back door to let you know when she needs to go out.

Deliveries:

I had a food delivery to the house and she was brilliant and didn’t bark at the stranger at the door!

Sleeping
:
Whilst she was with me I reckon she slept about 90% of the time. She was a great work buddy and squished herself in behind me to snooze. On the sofa she cuddles right in and she especially loved my heated blanket. She also had no sense of personal space when I let her sleep on the bed overnight, she slept right through until my alarm went off.

Wendy is just the most loving, clever goofball! She’s so happy and snuggly, she loves playing and listens well (she mistook my slippers and bobble hat for toys but after a quick No she left them alone. Whoever adopts her is going to be very lucky 💛🐾

Sooty and I had a lovely walk yesterday with Bells and Wendy.

The weather wasn’t the best, but the company made up for it ❤️.

Wendy had the best time at the adventure barn today- lots of zoomies and playing! She was a very sleepy girl on the car journey home.

We picked up Wendy yesterday for a foster break, and oh my gosh what a sweetheart she is! She’s brilliantly house trained and settled well overnight, sleeping right through. Here’s a few snaps of her as she settles in 😊

Sharing a bundle of snaps from our wonderful foster week with Wendy, what an incredible girl she is! We can’t wait for her to find her forever home, she has so much joy and love to give ❤️🐾

She’s a bundle of fun and really affectionate - loves a morning cuddle and has consistently slept right through overnight, opting to feel safe in bed with us.

Wendy enjoys a nap (or ten!) in the daytime, and wakes up for a couple of bursts of playtime where she’s happy to chew toys, but loves to engage in playtime together most of all. Her play bows are seriously cute!

We took Wendy out for a quiet pint at the local pub, and we were impressed at how quickly she settled next to us. She was happy to sit outside a shop or cafe while one of us popped in too, especially if it meant getting a fuss from passersby. 😊

We took Wendy to an enclosed field today for her birthday and she loved every second! She loves chasing a ball and then rolling around on her back with it in her mouth love4.gif she’s up for trying the agility stuff in the field and does her best Sit for a treat! We took her for a pup cup afterwards and she went through the drive thru again like a pro! I can’t wait to see this girl get a home of her own 🩷🩷🩷

Wendy woo is full of beans and super clever - her only ‘something that needs to be worked on’ in my eyes is she’s strong on the lead but with the right training, a loving home and being able to settle, she will soon learn! Even when she has short breaks away from the kennels, her lead walking improves soo much. Hoping her forever family comes soon!!

Here she is playing find the treat whilst we waited for a horse and a couple of dogs to pass .
