Marie’s been with us a few days now and she’s been a wonderful companion whilst I’ve been a little unwell.

My husband took some wonderful headshots whilst Marie was looking out of the window this morning.

Yesterday I did some lead training with her in the garden and near the house where she really tried to respond to heel training.
The walking was a little struggle when a few dogs and horse’s went past her on a few occasions but this will improve with time and consistency.

When we come back home, Marie is such a good girl about getting her paws cleaned, she enjoys the process and sits nicely for us.

Marie is soooo ready to find her forever family. She’s perfect with our two kids and is a dream whilst you’re working from home.

She almost sleeps as much as our Greyhound fosters do - cuddling and snoozing next to us is her favourite hobby so a home where she can sleep on the sofa and a bed is a must, she deserves all the treats!

Marie gets so excited for meal times and treats but she sits and waits like the goodest of girls.

Marie is really starting to learn routine and is more confident at sniffing around the garden. She’s also helpful whilst I’m doing my pre work-out stretching…

Marie is settling in like a pro, and let me tell you, her personality is bursting out like confetti at a puppy party!
Watching this rescue pup transform from a sad little bean to a lively, bubbly, and even a touch sassy sweetheart is a mixed bag of emotions, it’s like seeing a flower bloom while knowing it had a rainy season.

This week, we had some fun with lead walking training, and Marie is picking it up nicely, though her excitement level when she spots another dog needs a little fine-tuning.


Her first cafe adventure while I grabbed some coffee was a hit! The staff adored her and even rewarded her good behavior with a treat.

On Monday, Marie went on a little vet adventure to get spayed and have a canine removed. When she returned on Monday evening, she was still a bit woozy from the anesthesia and was even more of a cuddle monster. I can’t blame her, who wouldn’t want extra snuggles after that?

Oh, and she wore a recovery suit for a few days, but here’s the kicker: she somehow managed to Houdini her way out of it two nights in a row without unbuttoning a single button. Seriously, this girl might just be part magician!

Thursday rolled around, and with both my husband and I caught up in work commitments, Marie had to spend one night back at the rescue. When we picked her up last night, you’d think she won the dog lottery, her excitement levels were off the charts!
She clearly missed us!

Marie is forming quite a bond with us which is both lovely but a little heartbreaking at times, like when we had to drop her to the rescue for the night last week - she was screaming for us bless her.

Saskia, Dan and their son Sam came to meet Marie on Sunday and was exactly as described!

They enjoyed her company and were soon popping her in the back of their car...Driving home for Christmas
