Narli was very easy to harness up and she was excited for her walk. She pulled a bit but it’s manageable and she likes to stop for sniffs. She responds to her name and enjoys a few treats!

With a couple of days spare and a dog shaped hole we decided to go to the kennels to pick up a dog for a long weekend. We have been following Narli on the forum for a while and hoped she might be suitable.
She was very excited to see us, but fairly easy to harness and get out. She jumped in the car fine and was a perfect travelling companion, lying down on the back seat happy to be going somewhere new.
Once we got home, as with all the dogs she had a good sniff round and explored all the different and new surroundings. She is clean in the house and overall one of the most relaxed dogs we have had. She did enjoy going through the toy basket, playing with balls and chewing up the soft squeaky ones but when she is finished she is happy to lie down and nod off.
She chose to sleep on the landing but had the run of wherever she wanted to go, so after an early walk she would bound up the stairs and then go to sleep on the end of the bed. She is alert to noises, there were some foxes in the night that had her jumping up and going to the door and when the window is open and she can hear interesting sounds coming in she will look up but doesn’t bark.
She is good around food, unbothered by others eating, just continuing to lie on the floor. She enjoys a premium chew and spends her time eating it and will take treats offered well.
Out and about she is good on the lead but can be strong when she sees other dogs, wanting to go over and play. Sometimes she will lie down as they come towards her, and on other occasions when off lead dogs have bounded up she has licked their faces but all interactions have been good, she has a lovely temperament. She has got lots of attention when she is out as she is stunning and has met all people well.
In the garden she enjoyed chasing balls and running round and also took a shine to the watering can, preferring to drink directly from the spout rather than the bowl
Narli is a gorgeous girl, who has settled well in a couple of days showing just how ready she is for her forever home. Until then, it will be a pleasure having her back when we can.

Saturday was my first time walking Narli, she’s been on my radar for a while so when I saw she was available I jumped at the chance. She was already harnessed which helped and once we were out of the kennel block she settled into a comfortable walk. She was happy to walk at my pace and when I asked her to wait especially at styles she was very patient with me. When we got back from our walk I took her to the paddock where she had a good run around with zoomies. Can’t wait to walk her again, will try to get photos next time!

Today I got to walk the beautiful Narli again, we followed Georgia who was walking Kenn. She was happy following but I think she would have preferred to have been leading as her legs are a lot longer.
We split off at one point and she relaxed more and was happy to slow down when we got to the slippery paths. She is lovely company and great to spend time with

A bit late in writing, but we had the wonderful Narli to stay again as she was such a hit last time. She was very excited to see us when we arrived and was only too happy to jump in the back of the car ready to go home. She travels well, lying down in the back, or with her had out of the window.
Narli is clean in the house, doesn't fuss for food and isn't overly interested in treats but does like the occasional high value sausage or long lasting chew
She enjoys playing with toys (stuffed ones don't last long) and likes to go over to the basket and pick one out for you to play with her, her current favourite is a squashy squeaky ball. Generally she likes to sleep on the landing, she has the run of the house but this is where she has chosen, however we have been woken in the night with a face lick, and a sudden charge if she hears foxes outside the window.
As has been said before, Narli walks well on the lead and meets other dogs well, either lying down, or getting a bit excited and wanting to play. As a bigger dog, she can be strong, particularly when she spots a squirrel so you have to be aware of what is around you so you don't go flying.
Narli loves to meet people and has been very gentle with everyone she has met. Apart from the occasional bursts of excitement, she is very placid, and will spend much of her time in the house lying around, content to be around people and comforts. She has a wonderful temperament, and her unusual mix of deerhound and mastiff means she always turns heads.
She is a lovely girl, who we hope will find her forever home soon.

Had the lovely Narli stay with us for a week, I can't believe she hasn't been snapped up yet as she is a real treasure with a wonderful temperament.
When we arrived at the kennels, it was a bit miserable and dark but she was very pleased to see us and got straight in to the car ready for the drive home. She is great in the car, sitting or lying down and doesn't move much.
At home, she re-acquainted herself with all the different spaces and soon realised nothing had changed, her toys were in the same place and she could still stretch herself out on the dog bed. Narli is house trained and will let you know if she needs to go out. Around food, she isn't bothered by anyone else eating and doesn't get up so not particularly treat orientated but does enjoy a long lasting chew.
Generally she will stretch out on a dog bed, or lie on the floor, but on the most recent trip has slept on the bed at night if she feels like it, otherwise on the landing or downstairs. She isn't a velcro dog in the house, and is happy to lie down whilst people potter about, she will sometimes take herself off somewhere else, or bring a toy for you to play with her. She has a very chilled temperament, with moments of exuberance if she is particularly excited. She does like a cuddle and will also sit on the sofa with you, although it doesn't leave much room
Out and about she always draws attention as she is quite an unusual mix. She walks well on the lead, quite strong but I could manage it easily, the only things you have to watch out for are unexpected foxes and squirrels as she can pull suddenly toward them and as she is quite strong this could take you by surprise. Narli is always keen to meet other dogs, sometimes she will lie down and wait for them to come over or will go up and have a sniff, occasionally she can be a bit bouncy but she is easy to move on, and interactions have always been well mannered and playful.
Narli is the all round package, a lovely temperament, house trained, good with other dogs and lots of fun, please do consider opening your home to her. Don't be put off by her size, although from the initial description she seems larger than average, in person she really is manageable and so enjoys the company of people of all ages.
It was a bit sad dropping her off after a lovely week, but she was so pleased to see the staff at the kennels there that it is clear she is loved by them too

Lovely write-up and photos; thank you.
She doesn't look overly impressed with the cap though!
