Dezzy constantly takes my breath away by her joy and cheeky character which is a few mm beneath the surface.

Greyhounds can run, fact, but Dezzy is superfast and delights in running. She has such fun playing with her companions but also running the fence with adjoining dogs the other side. Yesterday Chanel really tried to out run her, she really tried but Dezzy didn't see the competition, just flew to the exchange of launch and take off....

Her nerves are obvious on meeting new people but with reassurance her soul shines through. The trust is there for the giving, her heart is ready to be gifted.

Dezzy is our charming foster dog who's been staying with us regularly since February. She's a loyal Greyhound with an extraordinary personality!

Dezzy is a loving companion who seeks a strong protector, especially around unfamiliar faces. Yet, let her loose in a safe space, and you'll witness her vibrant spirit as she joyfully explores new scents, runs alongside you, and jumps with excitement.

In addition to her playful side, Dezzy is incredibly intelligent and responds beautifully to basic commands, earning her the title of 'Pretty Girl Princess.' This summer, she discovered her newfound love for blackberries, learning to pick them herself from her playful foster brother, Farran.

One of Dezzy’s cutest talents is her ability to 'bow' on command, which will surely make you smile! While she enjoys independence, she thrives on knowing her protector is near. You may find her happily retreating upstairs to rest or snoozing under your work desk.

Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have Dezzy as part of their lives. She’s truly one in a million, offering a look of pure love and adoration in return. One of her favorite bedtime rituals includes a gentle neck scratch. We have a sweet ‘collar off’ routine where she patiently waits for her turn, often resting her head on Farran while she does.

Can you give Dezzy the forever home she deserves?

I had a lovely walk with sweet, sensitive Dezzy today - she is beautiful inside and out. All our ex-racing greyhounds wear muzzles when they’re out and about.

We walked Dezzy alongside Farran today and were so impressed by how much her confidence has improved. When we first met her she was very nervous about coming over to us and would not take treats from us. She has gradually come out of her shell after we have shared many walks with her and she now comes up to greet us and be harnessed up. She takes treats out of our hand and even nestled up to us today to get petted. It is so lovely to see her become more and more comfortable around us and to see her personality shine through. She is such a sweet and gentle soul and we look forward to spending more time with her until she finds her forever home.

Walked lovely Dezzy today, its been too long since I last walked her but she is usually booked out by other volunteers as she is the sweetest girl.
Always a little shy to get harnessed but once out she is absolutely lovely to walk and definitely less jumpy than she was.
It would be so wonderful to see Dezzy homed and loved by a family.

Dezzy has the biggest heart and is so trusting when she gets to know you.

This sweet girl really deserves her forever family so she can live her best life.

Dezzy would love a less busy environment with a big garden to run around and sniff, she does love going for walks although is less keen to walk towards new people but this is completely workable as she will stay close to you if that happens and then is ready to move off to continue her walking.

I’ve fostered a few dogs where they choose to freeze if they’re unsure, that’s not Dezzy - this girl is so compliant and so sweet.

This girl didn’t used to eat her food when we first brought her home through sheer nervousness and now she jumps up excitedly for food and treats, and she does the same when you put her lead on to go for a walk (Her jumping is so lady like too).

If you’re slightly interested in adopting Dezzy and you think you have a quiet home full of patience and TLC I would urge you to reach out - you won’t regret it.

Dezzy’s love is truly humbling.

I have walked Dezzy quite a bit with new walkers and it has been lovely to see her overcoming her initial nerves and blossoming into a wonderful friendly and beautiful dog. Dezzy will make a fantastic addition to the right family and has lots of love to give.

Dezzy is so sweet and adorable.
Today Michelle and I gave Dezzy and her kennel mate Farran a lovely long walk in the woods.
You can see Dezzy gets more comfortable and confident as the walk goes on.
By the end of the walk she was so relaxed and was happy to have some fussing and gentle cuddles.
She is definitely not as jumpy or nervous thanks to the amazing foster breaks she has.
We would all love to see her settled in her own home.
