Re: Rocky AmBulldog DofB 08.08.15 RRemedies Centre
I walked Rocky again for the first time in 7 weeks due to me having a knee replacement operation. I thought he might not remember me but as soon as he saw me his little tail started wagging. I went into his kennel and he stuck his head between my knees for a cuddle and then gave me lots of kisses. I had booked a secure field so that I didn't have to do too much walking which meant he had to go in the car. I thought I might have to help him up the ramp after so long not using it but he walked confidently straight up and into the car. He loves the freedom of a large field running about and then chasing a tennis ball. He is so ready for a home now where he would thrive on some love and attention.

Rocky meeting horses at the dog field. They were next to the fence so he had to go up for a closer look. He didn't react at all, just had a look and then carried on exploring the field. After a game of fetching the tennis balls we shared my cheese sandwich. When he sits and looks at me I can't resist giving him his half. He is so good in the car now and lays down in the back or sits looking out of a side window.

Beautiful Rocky is such a sweetheart.
He always gives me such a friendly welcome to his kennel. He puts his head between your legs and asks for strokes. Then he gives you kisses when you put his harness on. On our walk, Rocky found a discarded donkey toy. He took a fancy to it and carried it all the way back to his bed for cuddles.

I have been taking Rocky to a secure field each week. He loves the freedom of being off lead and just wants to run around. Afterwards we sit in the back of my car and share my sandwich, boiled egg his favourite. He loves being in the car now and when he sees it at the kennels he runs straight up the ramp into the back and looks at the scenery going by. Such a great dog who needs a home before he gets too old.

Rocky the Rockstar always greets me with a happy face and little kisses.
He is so easy to get ready for his walk. As soon as we are out of his kennel and Rocky sees an empty paddock, he always tries to slip in there. Unfortunately, Rocky is a total mud-fiend so the paddocks are currently a bad idea!
Sometimes Rocky is content to take a few turns around the kennel grounds but today, he was on a mission to get out into the real world.
Off down the lane, Rocky trotted away with some serious intent. He paid zero attention to any of the fast traffic that passed us and onwards we went at pace - Rocky seeming to have a clear idea of where he wanted to walk.
After a while, I thought we were on for quite the long trip but, suddenly, Rocky seem to sense that it was close to dinnertime. Never liking to be absent for that, he suddenly jolted off-course to the right and took me straight back to his kennel.
A farewell stroke and a sausage, and it was "goodbye, Rocky" until the next time.
I love hanging out with this boy and his big, independent, funny personality. He always makes me smile. It would be so wonderful to see him in a nice home.
