Royce really is a fantastic boy, surely it’s got to be his time to find a home , I see him when I walk at the kennels and he looks at me from his room so longingly , I have walked him in the past and he was perfect , you just have to be used to large dogs , Royce has spent too long in Kennels …….. anyone ? He’s a total love bug

That video is hilarious Lynne
so typically Royce!
We had another secure field visit with this lovely boy the other day
It’s a no brainier to take him when we book some field time
He is SO easy in the car.
Royce walks straight out from his bedroom, makes a B line for my boot, jumps in and sits down as if to say ‘Taxi for Royce’
The weather was quite warm on this day so we spent a fair deal of time in the shade of the field, Royce laying on his back demanding belly rubs and us abiding as always.
We look forward to our time with him every week, it’s no secret how much we love this handsome hunk.
Always an absolute pleasure to get him out for some time away from kennels and he’s always a total gentleman.

A couple of updates on Royce recently from me
This week we had another secure field visit
Royce is always one of the first that we think of when booking a field. We know from previous visits he’s impeccable in the car and seeing how happy he is running around freely in such a big space always brings us so much joy.
I booked a much bigger field this time, one Royce hasn’t been to before. After a walk around we thought we would try a bit of agility that was set up
Royce decided that it wasn’t really something he was overly interested in, and if he did participate, treats had to be the reward! He drew a line at going through the tunnel though
Jack even tried to crawl through first in hopes Royce would follow, but he very cleverly just met him at the end
..
My second update for Royce is that I have started taking him on group walks again
We’ve had two walks with Hugo and one with Sandos. I’m sure I remember him going on group walks back in the day and I’ve no idea why they stopped
He walks beautifully with dogs that are not overly interested in him and I think it brings him a lot more confidence when seeing/passing things that would normally bother him. I plan on continuing these social walks with him and seeing how many more friends he can get !

Royce was a star today. Loved his walk, so happy to be out and about. We went exactly where he wanted, and on our way home I noticed a large dark cloud. I told Royce we were going to get wet, but we had a little run, a break, another run etc. Royce loved it; really happy loping along at my pace. Royce was definitely able to keep going longer than I was!!!!! We got back to Lynne’s house just as the heavens opened!!! Maybe more running in the future

Royce did me so proud as usual on Saturday
Having walked at the kennels for years and never met Royce properly, I’d talked Leeanne finally into having what was supposed to be her first of a few intro walks with him.
No more than 5 minutes into our walk, Royce took himself straight over to Leeanne and sat at her feet for a cuddle!
I’ve walked this wonderful boy for a long time and know him very well, never have I seen him make a new friend so fast!
I handed Leeanne the leads, the photos speak for themselves.

Royce was overdue another secure field visit with me
Emma hasn’t been able to walk for a while now due to an ongoing knee injury and so I asked her if she’d like to join us on Saturday.
Royce was beautifully behaved (as always) both in the car and at the field, he really enjoys a trip out.
He had a great run around for an hour and lapped up all the affection he’d been missing from Emma.
He’s always such a loving boy for his friends, it always brings me joy to see him so happy.

Royce continues to be on top form
On Saturday’s we like to go on group walks and he’s been excellent walking with both Hugo and Sandos.
Hugo has now found his forever home
and so yesterday we added beautiful Joanne to the mix.
Royce walked happily in the middle of both of them and showed what a wonderful boy he is when around other calm dogs. I find his reactions to things are far less when he sees his friends walk past without any worry, he definitely gains confidence from them.
He’s also recently opened his heart to two new human friends, Leeanne and Max
his friendship group is growing and I couldn’t be more proud of him.
