If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £300 (£500 for a pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays. Kenn's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Urgent call: Kenn was in a Vets and they were urgently seeking a Rescue to take him in. Kenn came into RescueRemedies on the 27th September 25

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this boy today!! Soon as I got the treats out to greet him he sat and held his paw up
He appears to know sit, paw and stay! His colouring is gorgeous, sweet boy.

Kenn is an absolute cutie!
He loves to play ball and will bring it back (shame I only had a half eaten ball but look forward to playing with him properly!)
He walks nicely on the lead, pulls a little but he’s just excited to be out on his walk
He loves affection and a good scratch!

I took Kenn out for an offsite walk with my dog today and he was a star!
He travels well in the car - he likes to prop himself up so he can look out the window and on the way home he was having a great time (video below).
He said hello to a few dogs and got along well with my dog too. He walks beautifully on the lead! Two horses passed us and reactions from him at all.

Kenn

I had the absolute pleasure of snuggling up to Kenn at the sleepover this weekend for the first part of the night. and let me tell you, this boy knows how to host. What a gorgeous, welcoming little lad!
When I first walked in, juggling my sleeping bag, yoga mat (for princess-and-the-pea–level padding), cushion, and overnight bag, Kenn was completely unfazed. Not even a side-eye. He trotted over like the resident customs officer and carried out a very thorough bag inspection — probably because I’d stashed freshly cooked sausages in there for his evening treat. Once he’d confirmed the presence of sausages (priorities!), he hopped straight onto my sleeping bag for a quick face wipe and a tummy tickle — two of his favourite things in the world.
Next up: a head scratch. If Kenn were in charge of his own CV, “Professional Snuggle Receiver” would be right at the top. He didn’t even give me time to spread my blanket properly before he’d settled into my lap and conked out, blissfully ignoring the other dogs barking around us. I can imagine Kenn is the sort of man who would sofa hard!
Needless to say, Kenn is an expert at making himself cosy and relaxing to his heart’s content.
And then there’s the snoring. Oh, the snoring. It’s less “sleeping dog” and more “purring cat who just discovered Netflix.” But don’t be fooled by his angelic face — Kenn also farts like an Olympic champion. Big, long, unapologetic blasts that had me laughing, right up until I remembered his backside was pointing in my direction. My nose protested, but honestly… it’s Ken. He’s forgiven immediately
To top it all off, Kenn literally wears his heart on his back — a perfect little heart-shaped fur patch that feels like a built-in love badge.
This boy is pure charm, comedy, and cuddle power rolled into one. I really hope he finds his forever home soon — whoever gets him is in for endless love, plenty of laughs, and the occasional, erm… fragrant surprise.
