Her family abandoned her "unable" to meet her vet care. he receiving Vets saved her life and spayed her at the same time then went l out to find a secure Rescue place Peggy has had many litters. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Peggy is now neutered, chipped, and undergo vaccinations. Peggy came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Peggy's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Emergency call from the Vets: Peggy was in theatre having miscarriage and the Vet receptionists were calling around for a Rescue to offer her safe Rescue place. Another Rescue called us urgently.

Oh my goodness every now and again you meet a dog (not going to lie it happens to me quite a lot!!) and they blow you away, Peggy is that girl
she is beautiful.
I didn’t even walk Peggy today, she’s obviously had her op and had just arrived back from the vets, but I simply couldn’t resist going in for cuddles
she is that girl who will draw you in with her beautiful nature and sweet smile. I sat down in her kennel and she was on my lap straight away and literally melted into me, that was me gone
So on meeting Peggy I felt sad and so blinking angry for her, this girl she has not had it easy and let’s be honest you’d have to have a heart of stone to not feel absolute sorrow for her, obviously bred from over and over again, saying goodbye to all of her babies and then finally to be left at the vets, alone and abandoned because she was of no use (I can’t even tell you how I feel about this) and for a minute there I almost cried and then I looked at Peggy, she looked at me and I realised this daring, beautiful girl she is so not about the sympathy, she is oh so ready to move on and receive all of the love in the world and she is in the right place for that

I collected Peggy from the Vet Hospital today, the staff were wonderful. She was admitted bleeding and when they opened her up they found a dead pup inside. Her family abandoned her. They spayed her. Here she is 5 days later ready for a new life away from breeding. She still has her maturity flock on but determined to enjoy life to forget her sadness.
A glimpse of Peggy!

I walked Peggy today. What a gorgeous, gentle girl. I knelt to fit and adjust her harness, and she sat between my legs and pressed into me. Peggy loves a cuddle and lots of affection. She is not treat orientated, the only thing that she accepted was liver cake. We had a gentle walk due to her recent op; no pulling, Peggy was often ahead, but sometimes at my side. She wanted to say hello to everybody that passed, but ignored dogs. Peggy will be a very popular walk.

Re: Peggy Staffie DofB 12.19 Cheam Temp Foster
Peggy came to stay with us for a week and we all fell in love with her. She has such a lovely temperament and is never happier than when she is sitting with someone on the sofa or following her favourite humans around.
When we went to pick her up, Peggy had no issues getting in the car and laid straight down ready to get going. Once we got home she had a wander around and a good sniff before settling down on the sofa.
She is house trained and generally just likes to snooze for much of the day, under the desk, on the sofa or at the end of someone’s bed, preferably with company.
She enjoys walking and is excellent on the lead, going at a gentle pace, and met all dogs well. She does like to chase balls in the garden but doesn’t tend to bring them back
so don’t throw them too far!
Peggy met lots of different people when she was with us and was great with all of them. She isn’t overly fussed with treats and started off with a very small appetite which was starting to get bigger.
I cannot say enough good things about this lovely girl, she is just a star, and will bring her forever home huge amounts of happiness.
