Milly's Story: Milly was taken into care on welfare grounds. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Milly is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Milly came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

I was lucky enough to walk this beautiful girl this morning.

She is very bouncy, friendly, cuddly and kissy. And I established during our walk that she absolutely adores a stick!

Milly was a dream to walk, quite bouncy and inquisitive, but I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. She will definitely be one of my ‘go to’ dogs to walk while she is resident at Rescue Remedies, but I’m hoping it won’t be too long before the right person/people come along and provide her with her forever home. She is soooooo affectionate.

I had the pleasure of this wonderful wriggler on Friday, she was so excited to see me it was difficult to pop her harness on. She walks really well on the lead without pulling but does a strange thing that she likes to walk between your legs, it made me and Scarlet who was walking Edda giggle. I’m sure that she must have done some sort of agility before and I can’t wait to walk her again to see what else she knows!

Milly has come to stay for a few days over Easter. She loves people and is very trusting of them. She also loves to play, either by herself or with a human. She seems a little apprehensive at times of the world outside but is always keen to go for a walk. She has a curious nature and is eager to explore. If unsure she likes to hide between your legs.
She does not appear to be food motivated. She is eager to learn and isn’t always sure what is expected from her. She generally meets dogs well but we have kept a distance. Loves to chase birds. Good on her lead not a puller.
We have had some accidents in the house but everything is strange and I am sure this will improve. Such a sweet, fun loving girl. love4.gif

Adorable is the word to describe Milly. She loves life, which fascinates her. She is affectionate to everyone she meets, including children.since being with me for a few days she has packed a lot in and enjoyed every minute.
She struggled with toileting on day one but by day three no problems what so ever. She prefers to use her own garden as a preference. She loves to meet and play with mainly small dogs.Milly is not food orientated and you can safely leave food on the kitchen work top. She is sleeping on the bed with me but am sure she would be happy on her own bed. She has some basic training and is so keen to learn and please it will be easy to add to this. She is such a joyful fun loving girl and would thrive in a family home of her own.
She was the rescues ambassador at Pets at home yesterday and stole the heart of many. She was able to settle and lie down watching the world go by. She also travels well in the car.
