I took the handsome Buddy to Tilgate park for the day as the weather was nice.
Buddy travelled very well in the car, and slept most of the way. He had found a tennis ball at the rescue and we took this with us, which he happily played with in the car and whilst at the park.
Buddy is such a sweet, affectionate boy who listens incredibly well. He spent most of the day sitting on my lap, watching the world go by or rolling around in the grass. He is incredibly sweet natured and definitely a people person. I'm in awe of how trusting he is considering we've only met a couple of times.
Buddy walked well around the park with only a little pulling, he listens well and follows directions. He barked once at a dog and wasnt keen on a trolley we saw- it was big with wheels and he seemed unsure of it so he growled. We walked on by and he was fine again. We passed crowds of people and 40+ other dogs and Buddy was disinterested, even when some other dogs barked at him, he ignored this and happily carried on walking with me.
Buddy is a truly special boy and any family would be lucky to have him ❤️

I took this beautiful boy out for a walk on Sunday and we went to the stream and then spent some time in the paddock at the end. I learned today that Buddy is a big fan of sticks, not only was he fishing for sticks in the stream, but he was also trying to carry the largest log from the paddock, bless him!
Buddy does a fabulous sit and as I've mentioned before, he listens incredibly well and comes when called- hes such a clever boy!
I had such a lovely walk with Buddy and I always look forward to spending time with him, he's the best boy!

Buddy is just a bundle of fun and energy. He loves the paddock and playing ball. He can get 2 tennis balls in his mouth at once! He also loves to be out on his walks. He does pull but this is just his eagerness’s to explore. He has basic commands and is always keen to please. A joy to be with.

I've not walked at the Rescue for a few weeks due to a combination of being away, looking after my own dog and fostering Megs, but I remedied (pun unintended!) that today when I spent a few hours walking Buddy and others.

This was my first meet with this cute little Staffie boy and he made it very easy to get ready and get out. While he was keen to make progress, he is dinky enough that he's no effort at all to manage. We had a very pleasant walk and then went to the paddock for a while, where he enjoyed himself running around, destroying tennis balls and rolling around on his back.

It's no surprise that he's so popular with our walkers and I look foward to him finding his forever home soon. But in meantime, we shall all enjoy his time with us!

I had the please of walking this beautiful boy again on Sunday. I always look forward to our walks and Buddy always greets me with happiness!
Buddy was a very good boy waiting for his leads to be put on. I gave him some treats and then held his harness gently whilst I connected the leads. I've not experienced the overzealous teethies for some weeks and he is much calmer at receiving his initial treats when I enter his kennel.
As the weather was nice, we went for a lovely walk to the stream and I then took Buddy to the paddock for a run around. He loves playing fetch with a tennis ball (although can destroy it within minutes) and he also loves having a roll around in the grass.
Buddy is the sweetest boy who loves to show affection and stay close to his walker when sitting down/relaxing. He is a great lap dog and will not leave your side. He is a very good listener and easy to walk, aside from some pulling which is completely manageable due to his size.
He really is the most perfect sweetest boy and has so much love to give ❤️

I walked Buddy three times this week (lucky me!!) and I have so many videos of the clever, sweet boy to share!
On Wednesday we went for a long walk and then relaxed at our favourite spot in the nearby park!
Buddy was definitely on a mission today, and whilst he pulled his way forward, he was just showing his keeness to be out exploring. Once we got to the park, he dropped to the grass and rolled around for a good 5 minutes- very sweet!
Buddy is a very good boy, he seems to ignore other dogs and is fine around busy traffic, although he is interested in people playing with balls and if he spots one his little ears go up, but he will come and sit by your side with the simple call of his name- clever boy! 😊
I must admit, I am so lucky that I get to spend time with this perfect boy, but he needs his forever family who can give him all the love, attention and care he deserves ❤️

Meet Buddy – Your Shadow, Snuggle Bug, and Best Friend!

Yesterday I took Buddy to a secure field to have a play and a run around. Buddy travels incredibly well in the car and once at the field, showed just how clever he is, either by finding his leads across the field, showing his amazing recall skills or literally jumping through hoops!

Buddy is a 2-year-old Staffy with a big heart. He's a little powerhouse and can pull a bit on the lead, but he listens well and is eager to please. He already knows “sit”, "stay", “down”, and as mentioned, he has great recall!

Affectionate to the core, Buddy loves a cuddle. Whether he’s curled up in your lap or stretched out beside you, he’s happiest close to his person. He’s equally content watching the world go by or zooming around outside — the perfect balance of energy and chill.

Buddy would thrive with someone who can give him structure, love, and a cozy place to nap. With his smarts and devotion, he’ll quickly become your little shadow.

Ready to fall in love? Buddy is waiting patiently to meet his forever human/family ❤️

Gem and I visited the Rescue today with the aim of completing her set of supported walks and getting her signed off so she can go solo.

Having met Buddy a few days ago, I felt he would be a perfect first choice (Zoey being the second) for this role and he did not disappoint. He could not have been better behaved - it's as though he knew what the expectations were! He was as calm as could be when she got him ready and when exiting the kennels and he also walked beautifully.

Some time in the paddock followed, with lots of attention, a fair number of treats and some tennis ball chewing, naturally.

Buddy really showed off how wonderful he is and Gem was quite taken with him!

Look at that face!
Look at that face!

Nom nom!
Nom nom!

No longer interested in tennis balls!
No longer interested in tennis balls!

Is a treat coming then?

Oh yes, there it is!

Buddy continues to be a little darling and an absolute joy to walk. We kept Raffie and new walker Sharon company on Tuesday and Buddy was happy to lead the way and check back periodically that they were following. Absolute little sweetheart love4.gif

Buddy has really enjoyed his spell in Rescue thanks to our volunteers and extra special times with Sandra.

Today he met Kelly and John. They came to meet and they enjoyed his greet! Buddy was so pleased with them showering them in kisses...

Happy days ahead...
