Bells' Story: Bells was surrendered from a family living in a high rise flat an being kept on a tarpaulin covered balcony for toilet and time out from toddlers. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Bells is now neutered, chipped, and undergo vaccinations. Bells came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Bells' progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: We were asked to help Bells "She is quite worried in kennels (big change for her) and this shows in the photos, however, I’m sure she will come round with some TLC for some less stressed looking photos!"

Bella came in to us 3 days ago. She was an immediate hit with everyone. Her nerves are very superficial and she finds trust readily and loves a cuddle and embrace.
We have needed to save dogs lives, sadly as with many of our dogs at the moment (12) Bells moved into emergency kennels until we can take her back. She will be loved there as well.

Had the pleasure of meeting beautiful Bells today and what a gorgeous girl she is!
Initially Bells is a little bit nervous, but after a little time of me spent sat outside her kennel, talking to her & feeding her treats, she was up on her hind legs asking for scratches!
Myself, Hannah & Jamie took Bells to the paddock today to enjoy some much needed sunshine. She was soooo happy to be out! She was running, bouncing, sniffing and all of the above! I only walked Bells a short distance today, she is a little strong but definitely nothing un-manageable. I will take her for a longer walk next week to see how she is
Bells is clearly starting to come out of her shell, and her wonderful personality is starting to shine through. She is friendly, sweet, affectionate and playful! She needs a little bit of time to get to you know you initially, as she does seem a little bit shy/unsure at the moment (mostly in her kennel) but I am sure with regular walks, cuddles and attention she will grow in confidence.
Look forward to my next meeting with this beautiful girl xxx
