Re: Toby Patterdale DoB 30.01.13 RRemedies Centre
This morning he had his breakfast, went in the garden for his first lot of going to the loo and then spent an hour shadowing me as he was waiting for his long walk over the lakes. He just waits so quietly outside the bathroom and bedroom door. No noise or pestering. Very sweet.
He wagged his tail as we met my Mum and her retriever Kara. Kara had just had her arthritis injection so was super energetic and a bit of a silly retriever. She was leaping around so much that she nearly landed on Toby’s head and at one point jumped right over him lengthways along a pathway, rather than barging past and knocking into him. Toby didn’t bother. Got some great videos of their interactions. Mum commented on how much more relaxed he is with loads of dogs around. He got a bit pully on the lead with a very woofy spaniel but we walked past and he didn’t bother. Today he didn’t react once and there were a lot of dogs coming and going. He’s staying another night and I will take him back early tomorrow.

Toby is so cute!
It was my first time meeting him but he was perfectly happy going off on a walk with me.
As you can see in the video, Toby has got a definite spring in his step and showed zero signs of slowing down.
Maybe he knows I usually walk the big dogs and wanted to prove to me he can also keep up!
Toby is certainly tuned in to his walker and was no trouble whatsoever. He was happy for me to take him back to his kennel and take his harness off after our walk.
I would be delighted to take Toby out again.
So, if you'd like a cute old boy with a lot of life in him, Toby's your man!

Two foster visits to catch up on. Toby continues to be a wonderful guest. I’m amazed at his agility and balance. He spent quite a long while brushing his beard with his back leg, whilst standing on the other three!!
We didn’t meet my Mum and her dog this week as they were busy, instead we popped into my friends for a cuppa as she lives near Earlswood lakes. We didn’t go inside as we were both muddy, sat on her patio with his leads on still. He sniffed around the patio with lots of interest, probably mice. He enjoyed a thin slice of cheese. We carried on our walk up to St John’s.

Toby looked very cozy today in his coat and was so good letting me take it off and get him harnessed ready for a walk
He walks so beautifully such a gentle sweet boy not bothered by the rain
We had a lovely walk he sniffed went through puddles and didn’t pull once
Tony happily let me pop his coat back on and we said our goodbyes till next time

Toby is one of our older dogs and really doesn’t require much if you think you could give this lovely chap a retirement home please fill in a form

Met Toby for the first time a couple of days ago, what a cutie.
He was more than happy to let me take him out and we had a lovely walk following a couple of his other terrier friends.
Looking forward to our next walk.

Hopefully the last overnight visit before Toby has his very own permanent place and people.
We had a lovely walk over Earlswood lakes and up to St John’s. We popped in for a cuppa to a family member and made our way back home. He’s doing so well at not reacting to other dogs. This time we didn’t have Kara (the retriever) with us, walking with a calm dog, seems to calm and distract him.
Toby followed me up to the loft room when I was hanging up washing and he enjoyed rolling around the newer carpet. He was such a good boy when I said ‘Toby, come on out of here’. Followed me back downstairs. My son invited Toby up onto the sofa and had a last big cuddle. Toby was a very good boy and got straight back down again when I asked him to.
He loves his food but definitely not iceberg lettuce!![0002.gif] 0002.gif]](./images/smilies/0002.gif)
