Ellis and I went out today. He was a gent in his kennel and let me put his harness with ease. He is such a lovely good natured dog. I practiced some recall with him which passed with flying colours. We did some sit for treats too which was less successful 😂 he knows how to sit so the excitement of the treat got the better of him this time.

We found a ball in the woods which he was very excited about. Wanted me to have it so would drop it but would grab it back before I had the chance to pick it up which was hilarious.

He is such a delight and has soooo much love to give. You can tell he loves humans and loves affection.

We sat down on the bench for a bit whilst we waited for another walker to meet him and he thought it was the perfect opportunity to make a human head rest out of me.

I met Ellis the other day whilst out with another walker and he just seemed so sweet. So I walked him today for the first time, super easy to harness and put leads on and didnt pull towards his neighbours when coming out the kennel. I took him to the paddock where he enjoyed zooming around and playing ball. He brings the ball back and lets you throw it again which is great. He’s super affectionate, doesn’t quite know his size as he puts his paws up on your chest but I wasn’t complaining haha. He ended up quite muddy, leaving with more freckles than he went out with haha!

I walked the splendid Ellis yesterday. What a sweet, friendly, loving chap. He was very happy to meet me, and the be going for a walk. He was generally out in front, although very little pulling, and he had a great time going where he wanted and stopping whenever it suited him. He will become an absolute favourite, but hopefully will have his forever home soon. love4.gif

Lovely Ellis is a very affectionate and gentle boy! The first time I walked him, he was very calm and easy to walk. We have since done a walk in a group and he can be a little stronger than I anticipated but nothing bad, he doesn’t do anything and I think he’s just excited. He’s clearly not had the best start in life so he’s learning everything now! He really is a gentle soul and takes treats so well!

Wonderful Ellis ❤️

We had a lovely walk in the sun today. When you go to Ellis’ kennel, he either sits in front of you waiting for you to put his harness on or he likes to put both paws on your shoulders and give you a kiss 😘 Ellis isn’t a big fan of the mud! So was very happy to walk with me through the village today. He was having a good sniff & enjoying the sunshine on his face. He does this really sweet thing, where he brushes his face through the wet grass! 😂 He is a really sweet natured dog, affectionate and gentle. From his history, I presume he hasn’t had much love shown to him but despite this, he has a big heart & would make someone out there very happy. We walks great, can be a little strong but nothing un-manageable. He takes treats so very gently and will sit without being asked! He really is a very lovely boy 🥰

First meet and walk with Ellis. What a lovely softy, gentle and happy greeting when putting harness on. No bother as content understanding he was getting out. Strong on lead but comfortable and easy to handle, as always stopping and waiting when asked; to cross roads, let other dogs pass.
Ellis is a scent hound, sniffing out numerous interesting smells to him.
Sits and takes treats gently from hand.
Deserves to be in his forever home soon.
