HOW is it possible that this boy has not been homed yet?! If you are reading this, then I can highly recommend Ellis, you will immediately fall in love with him.
I've been fostering Ellis for a week now, and he is the sweetest, most gentle, well behaved dog I've ever met. He knows his name, sit, paw (and other paw!), lie down and go to bed. He is house trained, and is very well behaved around food - not jumping up at the kitchen counter/dining room table or trying to eat our food on our laps. He loves his own food and treats, so he is easy to train. He travels well in the car, sitting and looking out the window, trying not to fall asleep!
I feel like I can't even explain how sweet and loving this boy is, you'll just have to come and meet him! And look how gorgeous he is! So unique looking, those eyes and freckles, and velvety soft fur!
Ellis' favourite thing in the world is cuddles! He can just sit on the couch with us for hours, snoozing away. He matches your energy so if you just want to relax so will he. But once its playtime, he also loves going for walks and a game of fetch! I can't wait to take him to a secure field and watch him run around freely.

He is generally good on walks, he can be a bit overwhelmed and I have found sticking to the same route works for him. He can pull a little when there are lots of exciting new smells around, but it is manageable. He will try and chase cats/squirrels/birds and this gets him energy up for the rest of the walk so he will pull more. This is probably the only small bit of training Ellis needs. We are working on "on me" when we walk past dogs and humans so that he focuses on me and it keeps his energy calm and he is picking it up really well. He wants to meet all humans and he is very gentle and sweet with everyone who comes to greet him. He seems friendly with other dogs, but we haven only really met small ones who get quite intimidated by him and then bark at him, which then sets him off barking. But there has been ZERO aggression shown, he is just boisterous and wants to play.

He is unbelievably well behaved in cafes/pubs. I have taken him out twice, and he just lies under the table minding his own business, occasionally popping his head up for some scratchies and just to see what is going on. He didn't even flinch when the food arrived, or people walk past.
If I could,
I would adopt this special boy in an instant <3
