Ashley is one of the most remarkable transformations I have seen since I started catcuddling at the start of the year! When she first arrived, she hissed at everyone and had permanent aeroplane ears, and really wasn't very happy at all (traumatised really, poor sausage). A couple of months ago she started warming to us, and now is a total fan of having visitors - so much so that she starts hollering at you to come and sit with her as soon as she spots a visitor!

Today, Ashley hopped on my lap as soon as I arrived and wouldn't budge for 30 minutes (much to the jorror of Philip and Phoenix in the enclosure next door, who were glaring at me thru the window wanting their turn!). I didn't have one hiss or swipe at all in all that time, just a purring old girl who has let herself trust humans again, and who relishes in affection.

Ashley really is ready for a forever home now and will reward her new owner with love in abundance

Who says you can’t teach a 14 year old cat new tricks? Ashley got really stuck into her egg box enrichment (filled with treats, obviously). She was using her paws to dig them out. Clever girl!

Enjoyed another lovely long visit with Ashley today and celebrated her birthday with lots of treats and a good old chat!

Absolutely the best news to start 2025 off with! I've just spent a good few minutes dabbing the tears from my eyes watching Ashley fall in love with her new mum in the video What a journey this cat has had, and love has prevailed! Pamela, we wish you and Ashley many happy hours of cuddles ahead

I have been thinking about Ashley every day since she was homed, wondering how she's getting along. Wow, I can't tell you how happy I am to see these photos and wonderful update.
