Roco continues to find the transition from comfy home to rescue care unsettling and difficult. He is always bound to.
During the first week it is difficult to get him to walk any distance. Indeed he doesn't even like walking around the kennel grounds. Last week however I managed to get him to walk further afield as we went with another patterdale, another Rocco, and he seemed much happier. He also enjoys a mooch around the paddocks.
I spend time with him comforting him with high value treats and cuddles.
Cheer up Roco - hopefully you will be going back to your long term foster fairly soon. You are indeed fortunate to have such a lovely foster home and whilst you are back in rescue care I shall continue to enjoy spending time with you.
At this juncture I must point out that Roco is in long term foster and has not been adopted. The best solution would be for him to find his own home where he would stay all the time. He has proved his worth in long term foster and he proves his affectionate, loving nature in kennel care. He is a lovely little dog.

Due to the recent storm we had to climb over a fallen tree and he was very happy and able to show me the way
Such a sweet natured boy easy to walk and very content
Just needs a permanent sofa of his own now

So glad Roco went on a lovely walk with you - a sure sign that he is settling. He is indeed a really friendly, endearing little dog.
