Hayley is one of my favourites. She is calm and sweet and will walk by your side. She also has a very elegant trot if you’ll jog alongside her for a while. Then there’s high gear - zoomies and playtime, when she’ll leap and run and chase a ball! She’s beautiful and has the most expressive ears. She knows her own mind and will let you know about it too, so an equal amount of strong mindedness, love and a sense of humour is required! Oh, and treats too, she’s amenable to a bit of bribery ;)

Another enjoyable walk with Hayley. She was primed and ready to get going, as I had taken her kennel friend, Ethan, out for a walk first. She chose the lane rather than the woods but she was then happy to follow my route and we matched each other's pace.

She stopped a handful of times at various points but either some kisses or me challenging her to a race got her going again pretty quickly. No guesses who won the races!

She would have walked even further but it was the end of the day and my legs were stiffer than hers! Nevertheless, she was happy going back to her kennel and we enjoyed some cuddle time together with Ethan.

I can't stress enough how sweet Hayley is.

I'm so happy Hayley is going for a weekend foster in a home - I think she'll thrive.

PERFECT - in every single way.
We have fostered Hayley on two separate weekends now.
From the very first day and night it was as if she’s been with us for months.

- loves watching TV.
- amazing with children.
- amazing with other breeds.
- no accidents in the house and does business as soon as she goes out.
- sleeps through the night.
- has zero separation anxiety.
- loves to cuddle on the sofa.
- sits down wonderfully on a car journey.
- doesn’t try to eat our food when we’re eating.

And even better - she hasn’t freezed once on a walk! Which I was so surprised by given all the feedback. In fact she loves to go exploring and walking.

We had a wonderful long walk to a pub yesterday and Hayley behaved perfectly.

Hayley helping me make the bed woo.gif]
She makes me laugh all day. I can’t wait to foster her again soon - however I hope she’s adopted before we are able to.

(Hayley is allowed on the bed for snuggles and during the day, she sleeps on her bed during the night).

I always say that shelter dogs worlds are already small enough, I’d hate to make it even smaller by not allowing them in every part of the home.

I wasn't quick enough to bagsy a walk with Hayley today, but managed to see her for some cuddles and treats - she leans against you and looks at you when you stop stroking her to make sure you carry on!

I haven't walked Hayley for a while but I found myself missing her, so I went to see her yesterday. There was that same jumping up in the air and sweet, gentle face greeting me.

She was happy to go out and trotted along enthusiastically but always responsive and in tune with her walker. We had an extremely pleasant walk together. There was a momentary hold-up in the car park when she realised we were returning to her kennel but I challenged her to a race and we got going again pretty swiftly.

Back in the kennel we had some strokes and fuss, together with her kennel mate. Hayley is such a nice dog. She's a great therapy dog with her calm, sweet, affectionate ways. She really deserves a good home and hopefully soon.
Can we have more strokes please?

Sam and I were off getting married and got too busy to post in the build up to the event, however we fostered Hayley until the day before we flew off - I missed Hayley so much and seeing these updates from regular walkers made me extremely happy! Thank you for sharing them, I love how many fans she has.

Here are a few pictures of gorgeous Hayley whilst she’s been on foster with us:

- she came to the garden centre with us to pick my birthday present.

- she came to Brighton beach and enjoyed some bacon scraps from the cafe.

- she came to the jewellers and collect my wedding ring with us.

- she also met a litter of very excited puppies and totally ignored them, she’s so well behaved around other dogs and makes the perfect companion.
