Marley's Story: Marley was found abandoned and unclaimed within a NE council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Marley is now neutered, chipped, and undergoing vaccinations. Marley came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Marley's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

So excited to meet you lovely Marley

OK, so no beating about the bush- Marley has stolen my heart. He is a bouncy, enthusiastic bundle of love and happiness. His smile is dazzling. I was greeted in the paddock with full on staffie cuddles. We will work on keeping all paws on the ground for greeting, as at the moment, he is a little over enthusiastic. We set off for a walk and Marley was delighted by the chance to explore. He is a very easy boy on the lead, very connected and walking with a bounce in his stride.

Had the absolute pleasure of meeting and walking Marley yesterday. This little boy is essentially a sweet laid back staffie who is being a little overwhelmed at the moment by all the kennel noise. He has an anxious little expression which disappears the moment he sees humans! He loves people and really welcomes their cuddles and attention. He also seems to be essentially dog friendly and, at the moment quite submissive, as when we passed a couple of RR dogs on our walk, whose walkers had kindly stepped aside for us, Marley lay down in the middle of the track next to them
to be honest this wasn't hugely helpful
but it was very sweet! Offering a little piece of sausage encouraged him to get up and come with me, and we continued on a lovely, easy, ambling walk, with lots of sniffing and stopping to look around. I get the feeling Marley hasn't seen much of the world and is soaking up all the new sights and smells, whilst finding his feet. He is rather gorgeous ![angel13.gif] angel13.gif]](./images/smilies/angel13.gif)

Oh you're going to love this boy - he's fabulous!
I first met and walked him last week and had an opportunity to walk him again yesterday, but he wasn't having any of it! To be fair, he'd just come back from the vets so probably felt like he'd done enough for one day!
Be happy!
