Ava looked really good this morning – clearly she has been pampered during her latest foster break. She was very keen to go out and off we went! The mud didn’t bother her in the slightest and we had a really good walk.

Ava has a very calm demeanour and is an absolute joy to walk. She takes directions well and doesn’t mind traffic. She enjoyed skipping in the long grass and investigating different smells.

I had my first walk with Ava today. She’s a lovely quiet little soul. She was very patient with me as I initially realised I hadn’t quite got her harness on correctly, so we paused to resolve this before setting off for our walk.

We walked along the road at first and she was happy to trot along, giving me an occasional sniff, perhaps a little timidly.

She seemed to decide she had had enough after a short walk along the busy main road side and we turned and headed back. Although she is petite this seemed a short walk so we continued on past the main entrance and had a little explore of the woods behind. We found a spot with lots of signs of rabbit activity and she was happy to have a sniff around. We traipsed on through several very muddy areas with Ava seemingly unperturbed.

I was intrigued to see whether this little girl would be ready to jump over the country stiles with me to make our way over the bridge (having seen other dogs refuse). She paused but as I climbed over, she made an elegant high jump for a little dog and joined me without a second thought. She made the 2nd stile look equally easy.

We passed quite a few different dogs on our travels and she showed some interest but she was not overly excited and did not bark at any other dogs, happily passing them without a lot of direction.

Ava will clearly make a super addition to someone’s household.

Great to see Ava getting more confident and less suspicious of my treats. Today she decided it was ok to eat the bits of kibble I offered to her and, obviously, the bits of sausage too. She was definitely in a cheeky mood and was subtly trying to plea for more treats with her beautiful eyes. We had a lovely walk and when we met an offlead dog, she was easily distracted by a piece of sausage while the dog owners secured their dog on a lead. She’s a wonderful dog and I can’t believe she hasn’t been snapped up yet.

Ava was very happy to see me and was keen to get going. She met a couple of walkers on the way and was eager to say hi – and bag a few treats. You can’t resist her beautiful chocolate eyes! She walked well and didn’t mind traffic or bikes. She’s a fantastic girl and so deserving of her forever home.

Walked Ava today for the first time and she is so lovely. Easy to harness and walk. She loved a good sniff in the paddock and played with the ball.

Ava is such a nice dog to walk, knows how to Sit and give Paw. Like a bit of affection and a lot of treats!

I got to enjoy a lovely walk with Ava again today. She’s a quiet girl and seems a little timid at times as we strolled through the woods, she directed me off the main path into a sunny patch of long grass, where the grass and wildlife smells were clearly calling her name.

After a little exploration Ava seemed more keen to turn back than continue on. But I soon realised that Ava appeared to just have a hungry tummy and be keen to get back for breakfast as the moment the treats came out, she showed off her beautiful behaviour. She was keen please for a treat! She showed me some lovely “sit”s and was happy to walk in any direction I chose with the promise of more treats in store. Her confidence really seemed to build when she knew she could please me and earn treats for her lovely behaviour.

For some of our walk there were other dog walkers in the woods around us, Ava was happy to ignore them. She’s not one to bark or fuss.

Ava is a lovely polite girl who is food motivated enough to be keen to please you, but well mannered enough to wait until she has earn the treat (rather than smothering you in the hope of stealing some).

Enjoyed a short walk with Ava. She asked very nicely if she could share another walker’s lunch, and got a treat for her efforts! It started raining hard so she was quite happy to return to her kennel and stay dry. A sweet

I had the pleasure of walking sweet Ava on Sunday. She is such a calm and friendly girl. She walks so nicely, happy and relaxed and listens well.
She wasn't bothered by passers by or other dogs being walked and walked back to her room with ease at the end.
