Bodie & Dumbledore's Story: Bodie & Dumbledore are a partnership and lost their home in May 223 when their owner went into care. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving their lives. Dumbledore & Bodie are neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Bodie & Dumbledore came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting their new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Bodie & Dumbledore's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: Bodie & Dumbledore's owner's social worker called desperate and she had tried everywhere but hadn't been able to secure a Rescue place for this lovely pair.

Bodie & Dumbledore came into RescueRemedies on the 8th February 24.

I met Bodie and Dumbledore today. They are just gorgeous, so sweet and affectionate. I got quite a few face washes from the pair of them!
They walked nicely together on the lead, stopping to sniff all the smells.
Bodie also had a good chomp on the grass. She is the slightly elder of the pair and has a beautiful grey face to show her mature years. They both loved treats, and she found the pocket where I kept them and poked her head inside! She also sat very nicely when asked, to wait for a treat.
We went to sit in the Poet’s Hut and both dogs jumped on the seat with me for cuddles.
Let’s hope their retirement sofa comes soon - I didn’t want to leave them!

I walked, both these wonderful dogs together and they are just adorable. Lovely welcome from both and easy to exit the kennel. They walk well being that they are an elderly couple. They enjoyed a few cheeky treats and took them very gently. I hope that they are both going to go to a lovely home soon. love4.gif

As in inexperienced dog walker who had heard about this lovely pair, Dumbledore and Bodie, I was excited to try walking two well behaved dogs together.

We had a fun start with tangled leads but once I got the hang of this, this beautiful pair were so well behaved.

It was fun seeing these two different characters complement each other so well. Dumbledore was happy to walk through the puddles and mud

where Bodie was happy to skirt around them less keen to get wet.

But this worked fine, with no pulling or awkwardness. This lovely pair and clearly used to pausing for each other, while they took their own moments to enjoy a sniff or pause to relive themselves.

It would be lovely to see these pair find a lovely retirement home as they are a smashing twosome, who are easy to take out together.

Walked these two sweeties today and they are the most adorable bonded pair love4.gif

Bodie thoroughly enjoyed his walk and I found out he loves rolling around on the grass and then scooting along in his tummy. Very cute.

They are both very gentle, easy to walk and love a fuss.

They totally deserve their forever sofa x

I met and walked these two lovely dogs today, after I caused some chaos trying to get the leads on we went out for a nice stroll. They both walk so well on the lead, each one waiting patiently when the other stops for a sniff or a toilet break. They are such sweet dogs and reserve a happy, warm and peaceful home together.

I love my walks with Dunbledore and Bodie. They are genuinely happy to see you and have your company.
Bodie seems a bright, happy little dog. She is very good at sniffing out the treat pocket and sticking her nose right in before you notice! She is so sweet and well-behaved that I never begrudge her (or Dumbledore) an extra treat.

When she finds a patch of grass she loves a roll on her back and a slide on her tummy.
Dumbledore walks happily through mud and puddles, while Bodie finds the driest route.
They’re housetrained, having been loved pets. They walk nicely on the leads and listen to you.

This was our first walk with these two beauties. They were very excited to see us and to go on a walk. They walk nicely on the lead and keep an eye on each other. Every now and then they check on you and ask for cuddles. We really hope they find their retirement sofa very very soon. :crossfingers.gif:

Dumbledore and Dobie came to me 2 days ago. They have been an absolute delight to have round our home. They are both layed back and happy to fit in around us. We did a big walk yesterday at the priory park, surrounded by off lead dogs, children, bikes etc. They walked so beautifully, nothing seemed to phase them. Not even the ducks.
I popped out yesterday and put our cameras on inside, for my reassurance more than anything. Dobie stayed on the sofa, and Dumbledore sat happily by the front door to wait for me. Not one bark from either of them.
Dobie loves a tummy rub and Dumbledore favourite time of day is sitting with my 17 year old son watching TV. He does watch it too!! They both are very behaved at meal times, they sit on the sofa and wait patiently for us to finish. Then rewarded with a treat. I'm sure I'll have alot more posts to come, especially as we are of to the lakes this afternoon.

Just a few pics from last couple of days.
