Jamie's Story: Jamie was found abandoned and unclaimed within a East Midlands council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Jamie is now neutered, chipped, and undergoing vaccinations. Jamie came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Jamie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Original referral information: 2.11.23 Please find attached assessment and photograph for our lovely boy Jamie.

Came in as a stray, thin, not chipped. 1st vaccination given on Wednesday, no issues. Mx

Jamie is a little sweetie. He is so friendly. He seemed to acknowledge other dogs but pass by quietly but as you would expect for his breed, he is very aware of, and interested in the wildlife around the woods. He is very connected and listens and wants to please and such a pleasure to spend time with him. Oh and he loves his treats, very much!

Dear Jamie is such a gentle soul, he didn't want to walk far so we went to the walkers area, where he could greet everyone, he enjoyed lots of fuss and if course treats. He is definitely a people's dog, took little interest in other dogs, a few glances at George the cat!!. He would make a wonderful companion for the right family, Fingers crossed his forever home comes soon Kiss of love.gif

Jamie was a joy to walk today. He didn’t want to go too far so we enjoyed a slow stroll in the sunshine. A very lovely, calm manner about him. Hope he finds his forever home soon love4.gif

Jamie joined Lenny spaniel and Tommy for a walk to the keeper's cottage - a circular walk long enough to stretch those long legs of his. He loved it and was filled with joy barking every now and then just to let us know how happy he was. He is the most beautiful little dog with such a lovely coloured coat.
He showed no reaction to dogs and was so easy to walk. Lovely boy. Kiss of love.gif
