Tinkerbell's Story: Tinkerbell was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Surrey pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Tinkerbell is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Tinkerbell came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum Adoption Donation is £250 (£400 for pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Tinkerbell's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: 9th Sept 23 Hi Lynne,
Hope your well, I was reading the forum on Captain this morning, looking good, seems to be getting in a routine with you all. Looks really happy from the pictures.
I was emailing as a reminder to see if you had any place for Tinkerbell yet? She is still waiting, this our last call to Rescues to save her.
Lovely with people, a dog that doesn't jump up, full of energy and strong on the lead. .....currently has an ear problem, has been on steroids and having them cleaned daily (she lets you clean them). Been stuck in private Kennels the longest now and her time is up
If you can help please let me know asap. Thank you Rx
Tinkerbell came into RescueRemedies on the 16th September

Heart swell. Tinkerbell arrived on Saturday to greet each and every one of us. You can see Tinkerbell accepts kennels but it really is a staging post to launch her new career as caring for her new family.
Today Tinkerbell travelled to our vets. She was happy to get into the crate but reluctant to come out but we soon had her exiting and entering our Vet and jumping the the scales around 30kilos. We muzzled her as she is a bigger bullbreed but was soft in her management. Tinkerbell was spayed and her ears explored and she is now on ear and skin treatment. Its going to be a pleasure to care for her, she is sweet, so co-operative and appreciative.
Her dog warden explained her 'finder' had her with their small children for 2 weeks and other but in the end decided it was too much for them. A story was told of one of the children being in the bath and Tinkerbell deciding to join them with a splosh...she is partial to water.
We measured her and concluded she is a classic American Bully. Tinkerbell has mothered many litters of puppies in her 3 years of life. Not any more.... Pet life for Tinkerbell

I helped Tinkerbell pose for her lovely pictures on Wednesday! What a sweetheart she is! She loves a bit of attention and a cuddle! Very very easy to walk! Can’t wait to walk her again!
