Twinks's Story: Twinks grew up alongside another XL Bully pup from a different litter. Her owner had a baby when Twinks was 5 months old and sadly found they were unable to give her the training and socialisation she needs. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Twinks is now neutered, chipped, and is fully vaccinated. Twinks is in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we are only be able to contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £200. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Twinks' progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: We were asked to help Twinks who desperately needed a Rescue place. We took her in as an emergency.
Twinks came into our Rescue on the 31st July 2022.

Re: Twinks XL Bully DoB 30.11.21 Gatwick Kenns
I met and walked Twinks today. What a beautiful girl. She was very friendly with all humans, and I think friendly with dogs. She sat for treats, walked alongside me with slack leads, and was a total poppet. I took her to the stream, she was not sure about it. After a short time she had a sniff and tentative lap at the water, then after a pause she got her front paws in the water and had a drink - NOT a water baby!!!

Twinks Twinks little star..
What a beauty you really are

Almost two days with the Twinks (as a little foster) and she is the perfect puppy out and about on her adventures. She really is beautiful, not just in looks but her nature.
She loves to be loved, and has come across other dogs, ducks, squirrels, pigs, children and crowds- and is truly exemplary.
Like a little fairy hippo pup, she’s so much fun and walks perfectly on the lead.
She’s taken everything in her stride and takes direction very well. Sitting for treats and food, dropping toys when asked and learning to stay calm for affection.
So far Twinks has been to Nyman Gardens, had sun downers in the micro brewery, gone for brunch at Bolney Vineyard and entertained the crowds at the Prairie Gardens.
She’s currently upside down asleep with Niall watching the football (after supervising the gardening). A whole new adventure awaits tomorrow and many cuddles.
She’s such a good girl, and deserves the perfect person/ family x

What an amazing break you’ve given her and it’s so lovely to see her out and about and enjoying life.

I totally agree Twinks is a brilliant, beautiful dog. I had the opportunity last week to take her for a walk, as I am under 5ft I did this with some trepidation although another walker had assured me she was great. She was fantastic no pulling just walking beside me, occasionally looking up for reassurance she was doing OK. She loves a cuddle and stroke and whoever gets to take her home to become part of their family is truly lucky. She is adorable.
