Fantastic dog Hugo. Really lovely character. Yes nervous, and occasionally noisy but easy to handle once you're introduced. Today we walked up to the top fields....which were deserted. Time for a muzzleless roll in the cool grass. (He's laying on the lead by the way).

Can't say enough about Hugo. He's special. He needs an adopter with common sense that's all. Smashing dog.

Such a great dog. Really enjoys his summer hosedown and being chased about.

Got out with the Boss Hugo today. He's definitely a water baby and fabulous character. His close encounters with strangers need management, but for that you get a top dog.

Finally I’m able to post on Hugo’s thread. 👏👏
Well what can I say about this wonderful dog. He truly is the best doggie and I love him dearly. He is loving, loyal and great fun. I took Hugo out to a secure field a few weeks ago and we had the best time. He excitedly got in the car and travelled like a dream to the field. He was let loose in the field when we got there and even though he had acres to run about he kept close to me, checking every so on I was behind him but would have a crazy run about to let some steam out. He loved it. I was so happy to see him have some freedom because as we know Hugo does have some trust issues and wears a muzzle around dogs and people but this boy has a lot of love to give and in the right home this dog can be managed and as long as you are aware of his limitations I truly believe he will be the best dog. He walks brilliant on the lead, occasionally interested in other things but happy to walk past people/ dogs / cyclists at a safe distance with no malice or reactivity. There must be someone out there for this dog and it’s time he gets a warm sofa to lay on. He’s been in rescue a few years now and deserves his forever home now.

Hugo loved having zoomies in the paddock today before it got too hot, followed by a good spray with the hose!
He is such a gorgeous, loving boy!
He would make such a wonderful companion for someone somewhere! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Had a lovely walk with Hugo on Saturday. It has been a while and it was wonderful to spend time with one of my favourite boys.

Would you like to walk our lovely dogs too?

Good to get out with The Hugo today. Got the now famous Hugo nose butt in the kennel as a sign of affection roflmao.gif. I'm honoured! Great dog from where I'm standing.

A lovely walk with Hugo on Sunday, as always.
Hugo wears a muzzle for his reactivity, however, he is becoming a real mellow boy on his walks, and his reactivity has massively decreased.
On Sunday, we waited as bikes, people, horses and dogs passed us. With room to move aside, Hugo will happily and patiently allow all to pass whilst enjoying some head and ear scratches!
If in small spaces, Hugo can react to passing dogs but is manageable and you are able to turn him round or change direction to find a spot that allows more space.

Hugo does enjoy the company of another calm, confident dog. Most recently his favourite partner has been Rocky! Both boys respect each other’s space, Rocky takes the lead and Hugo gladly follows ensuring he sniffs every single smell that Rocky does! 0002.gif]
We have had a few social walks, with different RR dogs, of course always keeping plenty of space, and Hugo seems to enjoy following a companion! He was brilliant on the charity walk a few weeks ago, again following Rocky!

Although he can be wary of new or approaching people, once Hugo is your friend you’ve got a friend for life!
He is cuddly and snuggly and will most definitely make a wonderful lap dog for his future family!
