Another lovely foster break with Lenny. Again he travelled very well in the car and this time he was clean in the home. Lenny is a very gentle dog and easy to have around. Though in the kitchen he will be right by your side in case some food is going to come his way.
I’m sorry I took the crumpets out of the freezer bag and scoffed them.

As long as food isn’t around, Lenny is very relaxed and loves lounging around.

I didn’t leave Lenny alone, but he was very relaxed lying down in the car and waiting quietly when I went out on errands.

He was very happy to see Dolly, his new friend again and was always keen to go on walks with her. He was calm and relaxed in the garden/shopping centre and people commented on how well behaved he was.

At the secure dog field, after a few zoomies and some sniffing, Lenny just lay down to lie in the sun.

Lenny is a very intelligent dog. He understands ‘No’, ‘Lie down’, ‘Leave’, but he’s also an opportunist - he clocks the food left unattended and is very quiet in setting about his business, but I quickly learnt to keep the kitchen a lot tidier and put food away. He isn’t food aggressive at all, and reluctantly let me take things from him. He sleeps very well at night and I woke before him.
Lenny is a lovely gentle and friendly dog. He’s not phased by anyone, dogs, traffic, noises. He walks really well and rarely pulls - he clocks prey (stares intently) but is easy to move on.
He’s an affectionate dog and leans against your legs if you stop to chat to someone on a walk. He loves being stroked, but isn’t in your face demanding attention. He’s a lovely companion to have around.

Another lovely weekend with Lenny. He seemed happy to lie down in another room while we were cooking and eating (which resolved the issue of his food obsession) and is calm when left home alone. He will make a lovely companion.

We had a very nice and chilled walk with Lenny this morning. He’s always very happy to see us. He walks beautifully on the lead and he’s such a handsome boy.

Last weekend we had another lovely break with Lenny. He's become much more relaxed and is a pleasure to have. He was clean in the house and he sleeps throughout the night, usually going out for a pee at around 8 am. He accepts being put in another room while we cook and eat, but his food obsession did seem to improve.
Lenny is completely non-destructive in the house and spends his time lazing around. His favourite place is curled up on the sofa with his paws wrapped around you.

He greets all people in a calm and friendly way and he is the gentlest of dogs. There is no edge to him at all.
He loves his walks and his favourite place is the garden centre with its shops - which he always wanted to visit (only accepting it was closed when he saw the locked gate). But he does get a lot of attention when he goes, which he loves.

I took him to the secure dog field again. He will chase a ball, do zoomies and sniff for about 10 minutes, after which he conks out on the grass beside me to snooze the rest of the time away.

Another lovely weekend with Lenny. He was brilliant on the 3 hour car journey to Lincolnshire. As a slightly longer stay he had more time to relax and became very chilled out. Lenny knew that when we were cooking or eating he would be outside the kitchen in his bed and he was very relaxed about this. Lenny is great with all people - the gentlest of dogs and would make a fantastic companion.

Another weekend with Lenny and he was a star. It was a busy time with lots of houseguests coming and going. He proved super gentle with the children and loved getting their attention and hugs.
He did have a little chase of a cat that turned up in the garden, but it escaped easily and he was easily distracted.

Another weekend away with Lenny. This time with 4 children aged 9 to 13. Lenny was a star. He's such a gentle dog and the children spent much of their weekend stroking, walking and playing with him. He was great at the pub while we had a drink.
He did manage to steal some cheese off the table we had left out after lunch, but it was a small price to pay and he really earned it with his superbly tolerant and gentle demeanor with the kids. He really should have been snapped up by someone by now. He's a great dog.

Some lovely pictures above of Lenny chilling and for the most part his walk with me was the same. It’s the first time I’ve met him and he was very easy (I’ve pulled a muscle in my back so I requested to be allocated easy dogs this weekend).
I caught the end of his zoomies in the river on video today which made me laugh. Very calm dog otherwise.

Lenny is certainly lovely. He was very calm walking with a group today, and he enjoyed a paddle in the stream. I hadn't walked him before, but he's very friendly. On returning to his kennel he gave me a good face wash lol.gif

This week was the first time I have taken Lenny for a walk. Wow what a lovely friendly happy go lucky dog. He was slightly bigger than I expected from this pictures, not that big but I thought he would be about the same size as Jimms (who is smaller than he looks in photos), but Lenny is basically a chunky medium sized lurcher. He cheerfully greeted me in the kennel - no worries about unknown strangers with this dog, everyone is a friend who he just hasn't met yet. There's not much for me to write here as his behaviour through out was impeccable. We had a great walk, Lenny trotted next to me, happily interested in everything and everyone. I'll definitely have my name down to walk him next week. love4.gif love4.gif love4.gif
